Hardcore Music Definition
Hardcore Music: Hardcore is a devolution of techno developed in England. The original form uses high speed, ¾ time, sampled break beats as its rhythmic base and was also known as UK break beat. In 1992/93 another form called four-beat used a four/four rhythm. Hardcore is dense, fast and aggressive and often features a characteristic 909 kick drum through a distortion pedal. Mostly listened to in England, Belgium, and some eastern bloc countries.
