Hey man, I read about your intervention and would like to tip my hat (which happens to be fuzz free believe it or not) to you.

My parents live down in San Diego and I'm a denizen of the greater bay area. This posed as a huge problem last year and the year before when I was starting to go to raves. I live 500 miles away from the only people who would give me a decent and honest opinion of the safety hazards I was presenting myself with.

Eh, long story short I had to go through my own revelations and turmoil and succumb to sobriety for my own betterment. It wasn't just rolls for me at the end of things however, I'd say near the end it was just about everything except for crack and methamphetamine.

After quitting though I've still continued to go to raves decked out in the gear and have made something out of it. Seven months sober now, and brain cells returning, I have developed an underground photographer scene and am trying to get a zine going (kinda like the vegan activist ones you would find at punk shows) I think a rave zine that would be pro-bono would be an awesome way to spread stories like yours and help kids stay safe while having a good time.
