They are human just like anyone else
Mormon people know how to party ..actually because they must hold back so much in public it is only fair to them to go to raves..The religion only matters in making choices but not bieng in a certain situation..like a rave. They should have a Mormon Ravers Crew lol |

Three X-treme good friends of mine (AKA the BROTHERS), are big time Mormons, who rave and party there ass’s off, its kinda weird, because they party and all, but sometimes they get really fucked up, and start preaching and shit to me… LOL!!!! Good times...
But regardless of there choice in religion, they are three of the chillest guys i know, besides the over sheltered part of there personalities... (damn big part) for instance... "wow.. i have never had K before that made my mouth and throat numb, with a... well I don’t know feeling"(brother 1) "what... K... you have K...? (me) "no... i thought you had K... wasn't that just K."(brother 1) *vacant expression*" your shitting me...right? that’s not K... that’s..."(me) I need to say no more, just fill in the blanks... that was one of the many things from just one of them... think out of three... BUT THERE GOOD KIDS!!!! -Extra LOVE & RESPECT- Kyle |

Hehe, this is an interesting thread. This post could be a little off topic, I'm sorry in advance!
I try not to liken Mormonism to Mainstream Christianity, understanding there are some major fundamental differences between the two, therefore I can only really offer my opinion as a raving Christian - a raving Christian who considers herself to be an incredible failure, but still seeking to be the best Christian she can possibly be. I don't consider myself "mainstream" by any means, heck - I'm pretty socially and politically liberal, not to mention on the theology part. Many Conservatives give me this real cute little title: "Backsliding Heathen". It seems like working my beliefs out for myself: constantly growing, learning, questioning, adjusting, seeking --- somehow equates to some sort of second grade, less commited, less loving Christian. This is not the case.[Not that all Conservatives believe that, bad Jules (!) - just many...]I've been the judgemental conservative fundamentalist. *cringe* I've been the missionary. I've been the PREACHER before hundreds. I spent alot of years misunderstanding the heart of the gospel, when it was really so simple... Love. I believe that's all there is to it. God is love. If I love God, I mean I really, really, truly love God; I will love other people. Love is patient. Love is Kind. Love is not self seeking. It is not puffed up. It is not proud. It does not boast. It does not hold record of wrongs. Love rejoices in truth. Love overcomes Evil. Love never fails. No greater love has [anyone], but to give their life for someone else. To lay it down and serve. How do i feel about my faith and lifestyle? (Check my sig, ROFL ) I believe Jesus intended for us to love one another, just as He loved us; giving Himself, His time, His everything towards the goal of bettering the lives of others. I believe God's will is for my life to bless others, my words to build up others, my actions to show the undeserved favour God has towards ALL people. So that's what i set out to do. All day. Everyday. Whereever i am. I don't say "Oh btw, I'm a Christian and you need to believe in JC or you go to hell!" (I'm bordering Universalism at the moment) --- I'd rather my actions as a person speak for themselves. If i make a mistake, i need to humble myself to the other person and do my best to work whatever out. If someone is in a bad situation, and i can help... even though it wouldn't be in my best interest to do so - I'm too busy, i sort of need the money, --- i need to remind myself Jesus didn't exactly have the time to go to the cross, or eat with the prostitues either. ![]() Raving is just another place to meet, encourage and bless other people. To lift them up, show them i don't care who they are, or what they do, how they act or what job they have - that they are amazing people with so many gifts, talents, blessings, and good things to live and breath for! Peace, love, unity and respect. Is TRULY the epitomy of what Jesus taught. W.W.J.D.? P.L.U.R! \end of my great big Christian rant. I'm going to crawl back into my hole now. |

I got thrown out of my house (Southern Cali) 4 months ago for Raving. My parents are very stroict mormons. I now live in Utah with my mormon grandparents. They are drug-progrram missionaries and my grandpa is a patrirch. I am going to have my own party with a couple friends from california in a hotel this saturday. Anyone is welcome to join, send me a message. What Brother Joeseph was TRYING to say was : PLUR, or God will kill you. I Agree!

Recently I have gotten to know this morman guy, It's interesting, and scarry. I can't immagine his life.
He Won't listen to music because it gives him a feeling that god didn't give him. HOW CAN U LIVE W/O MUSIC? He Won't put any drugs in his system (Not just hard one's but Caffine) and stuff like that. And it's Against His religion to watch RATED R Movies I can't immagine living such a sheltered life. In one aspect I understand because he used to be addicted to drugs when he was amish. Then He traded the addiction to the drugs to An addiction to God, Always preaching to me. Another Thing that frustriates me is that the blame is passed. Everything is The devil's tool, The internet, rated r movies. And it was jesus that gave him the power to stop his addictions to drugs. To me I believe that drugs cause you to use your own self-dicipline To stop, or never become addicted, and cannot understand why he can't say that he solely overcame that achievement. I 'm not sure Mabye there is an afterlife, If not, i sure as hell want to live this life to it's fullest. I believe people should believe what they want, it just confuses me. But Mormon's are some cool people. Do you know they have a singles church for people under 30!!! |
