parties hey

Sigh, yeah the chicago rave scene sucks. We used to have a warehouse or two that you could use but I think they closed the last one this spring. Acual raves that i have been to in the last year....3 tops and one was in ohio. Its really sad. The city came down hard on us in the 90's i guess and after that it never came back. I am only 20 my self, so i never really got to experiance it. Right now there are a few parties at concert venues, they are not as much fun but its allright. Its just not the same. I really dont know what to do, though.

well there are 17+ clubs around chicago like Mission and Energy and a 16+ club, Zero Gravity... but I've never seen or heard about any raves around here. It's pretty much the whole reason I joined this message board thing lol I wanted to find the closest rave around my place

When I was getting into the scene I found a ton of flyers on college campuses and especially in urbanwear clothing stores, the ones that sell rave wear. I would say that your best bet would be to try these stores and see what they have. I also noticed a few faces at parties that worked at these stores, so you can always ask them if they know where the parties are.

That's a really good idea.

Speaking of finding ravers at stores:
Shake and Merc and Impuse and Atomic and I stopped at a Walgreens on the way to my first party and we got vicks and spree and the cashier was like "yo, you guys goin to cali love tonight?"

it was badass. put a huge smile on my face

Nice..

But to stay on topic, I would also check out local websites. There are plenty of parties in the windy city, I am sure. Finding them is the hardest part. Getting there may also be difficult, and not getting arrested could be an issue, depending on what you do and where you are. But track the stores and the nightlife websites down and you are gonna find some parties to hit up.

You can't be... next time you are in the mall or downtown... check the stores out as you talk by. It will only take a minute.
