I'm looking for the addresses to the original cornerstones of the chicago house music scene: the warehouse, musicbox, and medusas. anyone know? I'd like to take a field trip.

music box - 326 N. Michigan

warehouse - 326 n michigan - after knuckles left hardy took over as resident and they changed the name to the music box

i think the warehouse moved to a new location after that... i can't remember.

can't find where medusas was

might wanna look around for the powerplant as well. that was on the southside somewhere.


you can find most of the stuff online in articles. check out [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or the documentary "the unusual suspects" it was a doc done a few years ago on the chicago house scene. it's an incredible movie

wasn't spam lol, just the only spot that i know nowadays that plays alot of old school house stuff, i think it has some historial value too but i could be wrong, i've only been there twice, i was just tryin to help out even tho i didn't have the answer to your question, but thanks for the cuntbag response .


theres another docu on house music called 'pump up the volume - a history of house music' that i saw not too long ago, enjoyed it =], i'll have to peep that other one out.

don't know if i've seen pump up the volume or not. there have been a lot of good docs filmed lately about that time. there was another one i saw a few years ago that was all about the paradice garage and the loft in NYC. can't remember the name of it tho
