What is ROAR? I noticed this on the HUMP 3D flyer. Also when are they going to post where it is at? It's friday and I need to make plans.

Hi all,

Ok, I have never been to a rave before. I want to go to Hump3D, but am a little nervous. Could you let me know what goes on there? Is drinking allowed? Is the crowd diverse (gay, straight, black, white, etc.)? Anything else you could think of would ease my nerves. Peace!!!

The crowd definatly IS diverse. That's one of the beauties of raves. You're not going to get discriminated. Ravers are modern day hippies almost.

Do they search you at the door like they do at HOB, VIC, Double Door, and Metro? This is my first rave, Im 27 and have been into the music for about a decade, and have only gone to concerts. Im cool with everyone, but will people think Im a cop and/or not let me in cuz Im so old and I don't dress like a kid?

You'll see EVERY Type of person!

And drinking is allowed when the party either serves it or says BYOB.

We have a lot of older people in the group, so that won't affect a thing.

Yeah usually they do a pat down and check ladies purses at the door.

Does BYOB means "Buy Your Own Beer" or "Bring Your Own Brew"? Oh, and is there a coat check or something? I'm not all proper, but would like to know. Thanks!!!

no there isn't a coat check, and no there is no booze inside the venue.

but to make it a little easier on our indulgent party-goers we will be giving everyone wristbands and allowing ins/outs. its pretty nice out, you wont be getting frostbite.
