hey im kinda like iusethis, im 17 and really want to go to a rave. ive never been to one tho.. i live really close to chicago and have the means to get into a 18+ rave in the downtown scence, or anywhere else in the near area (im in the burbs), but i don't know anyone who knows of anyone who knows of any. im some what sheltered and i guess trying to find my wings? i don't know. please help the n00b!!!

june, for some odd reason, is looking pretty dead right now. as for july there is nocturnal trip 3.0 on 7/14 and soul asylum on 7/21

call me paranoid but the infiltration on noobies on the raver msg boards is increasing & making me slightly weary of responding to any of it-- i'd hate to think we're giving out info on our parties to a potential narc of sorts..

i think its kinda wierd, too. you guys obviously know where to get info on the when & the where. just go to the party and if you play the same "i'm all new to this" angle, some crew of friendly ravers will take you under thier wing and show you the get down. there ain't nothin to it but to do it.but people are gonna be on thier gaurd about someone coming online and saying " i'm underage. please take me to an all night party". no offense, but it kinda sounds like a set up. all you gotta do is show up with an open mind & don't be shy and you'll make a ton of friends at your first party for sure. hope to see you there!

p.s.---go to the campouts this summer. they are on an entirely different level than any party you will ever see in the city

I think its possible that the majority (or all) of the recent 'n00b' posts are authentic. It only takes one and then others could then see them and think "ohh maybe this is the customary thing to do if I'm new [making a thread]."

If narcs want party info/location so bad, all they have to do is look at the flyer and call the info line night of. Unless they are looking for like word of mouth only events...

I second that....I don't see many similar threads in the other regional forums...or maybe I'm just not looking hard enough. I just have a hard time believing people are that clueless. Either that or they're taking the piss and doing it to laugh at all the "dirty highschool druggies".

Crap. I'm gone for a few days and all of a sudden someone compares their poor-grammar, can't-spell selves to me.
1.) I spent hours looking through the this website for posts similar to mine, before I posted. I asked out of genuine curiousity. This... boy/girl/whatever decided they had to have their OWN thread, instead of just adding to one that asked the same exact thing.

2.) When I ask something, it's to clarify, or to find something that I missed. I asked if the Rave in Marlsboro was really 18+, because I know that some things are just put on flyers to make sure that the people holding the event won't get in trouble.

3.) I don't go asking "Z.O.M.G.P.O.N.I.E.S iz ther a rave sumwhere by me I'm 17 and cant read!11111one" (Jesus, that was hard to type.) I asked if there was something I was missing. I tried to give the information I had to help people when they helped me, and I didn't just go "Give me a list of raves that are already posted/ listed on the forum so I don't have to sit and sift through *gasp* 2 pages of post because I'm Lazy!"

Ok, I'm pissed. Piratekittybitch, you're ignorant, don't take the time to do your own goddamned work, and don't you dare compare yourself to me again.
Oh, and for the record, I'm truely interested in the raves in Illinois state, but sometimes I do need a little help. I'm new to the scene, but at least I use proper grammar!
