Lineup:

ROOM 1 - Biomechanical Invaderz

B-Rockas -Port Washington, WI (BeatCrazy Entertainment / Conz Productions) ~Together B-Randon and NonStopRocka have taken the Drum-N-Bass flavor all over the Midwest. Together, these two amaze crowds with their unbelievable track selection and bouncy stage presence. See them play once, and you'll be hooked.

OddBall -Chicago, IL (M.I.A., Beatdown Chicago, Abduction Radio Live) ~Oddball has been making noise for some time now, Banging pots as a kid and in the WIU drum line. After moving to the Windy City and handing out flyers for other events, he has now taken the spotlight for himself behind the decks. After being introduced to deep house and moving through into Drum and Bass with High Contrast and Calibre, Oddball settled in on smooth, groovy and intense beats of his own. Oddball has played venues small and large all across the Chicago land Area, Central Illinois, Michigan, and Iowa.

King Cid -Chicago, IL (Eclectic Grooves, ToyMaker Music, Source Corporation) ~‘Cid grew up in a music literate household just south of Chicago, listening to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin records. In 1995 he discovered jungle and followed that sound to the abandoned warehouses, roller rinks, and deserts where it was played. In ’98 he took to the decks and became a local favorite for loft parties and local events. Now it's 2008 and Cid has played throughout the nation alongside some of the best jungle DJ's from around the world. Visit [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for more info about this DJ.

Idiom -Chicago, IL (Cago Corps Mafia, Infared Prod.) ~Part of the tag team duo, "The Manhattan Project,” is here to show you what hard is! This phenom has been traveling around the Mid-West leaving massive amounts of people breathless and begging for more of his unique mixture of pretty much the entire genre of Hardcore... and then some. Come out and watch one of Chicago's "King's Of The Core" rip up the wax with a floor shattering set.

Dj Vamp -Bloomington, IL (Alien Elements Prod. / Power 92.9)~Eric has been rocking central Illinois for 7 years now and has stood the test of time. From club to club to city to city, and now radio station to station. Bringing house music to the masses all over central Illinois and the mid-west. We have landed!

Primordial Ooze -Kankeakee, IL (Divine Balance)~The Primordial Ooze project was created by Dj's Kaiser Soze and S.O.T. Flowing sounds that seem to bubble and evolve like primitive life forms. These bundles of frequencies collaborate in a swarm like manner, creating intelligent patterns and movement.

Miss K Funk -LaCrosse, WI (ToyMaker Music)~What's not to say about one of the sweetest cats of ToyMaker Music. She has never been a let down at any show. She's always full of life, and friendly vibes. Her uplifting sets have made her one of ToyMaker's top Dj's. Be ready for some Hard Disco Funk.

Clark Kent -Chicago, IL (Infared, GTP, Eclectic Grooves) ~Kent has spent his time perfecting the single most important part of being a Dj, making people dance. Coming from the south suburbs of Chicago, Clark has loved house music since the day he heard it and quickly moved on to Dj, starting with college parties with friends and eventually getting booked for the infamous Audio Overdose at Western Illinois University. Once he got back from school and moved to Chicago, he had bigger things on his mind. After getting to Chi-town in March of 2005 you could say he has been making his mark.

Dj Stuntz -Chicago, IL (ToyMaker Music)~Behind the decks, Matt has always pushed and refined his sound, no matter the details; the sound has always been fueled by energy. His precise, quick mixes, ear for great records, eye for the dance floor and friendly personality have made him a NRG crowd favorite.

Michael Angelo Christopher -Chicago, IL (Lions Den Records) ~This Chicago native has lived for weekends where the decks are in front of him, and a crowd stands ready to explode to his every beat. Nothing this man plays does anything, but gets the place moving. Gearing his set for whatever his crowd is in the mood for, he has taken the lamest party and turned it into the best.

Decoy 303 -Chicago, IL (UCDnB)~Hailing from Kankakee this serene and intent ninja delivers devastating mixes of dark and tech-driven drum and bass, which have been pummeling Midwest party people with nearly eardrum-destroying bass frequencies for years. Expect no less than shadowy neurofunk futuristic shards of sound from this Dj.

SpaceHead -Carbondale, IL (Getto Puff, ToyMaker Music)~Coming from the south, this guy is ready to show the Mid-west what he can do. His genre hopping style of breaks is sure to keep you waiting for the next mix.

HELL NAW!!!!!!! I haven't been to a toymaker event in 2 years. I missed last years barnyard boogie, I heard it was off the hook and went for 13 hours straight. You can bet your bottom dollar I'll be coming out for this show.

8 dollars for a 12 hour event is great, i can't wait for this.

So many indeed. Promoters definitely overdo it with the DnB no matter where in the country the event is. (Not a personal attack at ToyMaker)

I think it kind of makes sense tho. From what iv seen recently (not saying much..) i cant think of a style that is more universally accepted than DnB. Hard enough for the hard crowds but still has space and grooves for the dancers.
Havent met anyone who explicitly hates it; which isnt true for styles like say HC, Trance, Psy, Breaks, Electro, even minimal.. etc. (not hating on any of em)
House is prolly a close 2nd to bein universal, although personally i havent seen a whole lot of house djs that just like blow my mind for a looong time .

Thats just me ranting tho, im sure people will disagree, but i think im pretty close.

/also why the fuck does no one play/schedule acid house anymore? like ever...

Re: UnderGround Elements 3 '05.03.08'

sure there's a lot of dnb... what can I say tho I play dnb and I love dnb and in my opinion it doesn't show up enough on event lineups

however just keep in mind this event will be 2 big rooms and you can drift from one room to the other entirely up to your whim and liking and check out the different genres. With 12 hours and 2 rooms of dj's there's plenty for everyone - house, hardcore, trance etc

here's a facebook link for people who like to connect up that way (I'm new 2 facebook but hey)..... [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

did i mention this place is big? and clean? this isn't a squat with loose rafters and dangling cables. It's a proper warehouse sized space and we've worked it all out and we're going all NIGHT

I disagree. I think House is the most universally accpeted form of electronic music. Drum & Bass is probably the most accepted "underground" form of all the non-mainstream styles, imo. I used to be more appreciative of Drum & Bass and enjoyed it very much, especially the older stuff. I guess part of the reason why I don't care for it anymore is because of the people I associate it with. I've met many many negative and stuck up people who had this Drum & Bass or die mentality (minus a select and special few who are opposite of that). But that's just my personal view of the sound. I appreciate and respect the fact that it's widely accepted and enjoyed by many many people, it's just not my thing. And no I'm not using my view to state that promoters book a lot of it, it's based on my observation of lineups and flyers.

My $.02
