caves = epic venue AND epic lineup.

well it seems like M3F is a bit less of a "rave" - that's just the impression i get from the flyer. so figure that into what kind of experience you're looking for.

would that be sacred earth?? in sep? see i dont really want to be the one pitting the two against the two but i would like to make atleast 1 campout this year that meets all my expectations...then again this is how it should be two partys going on at similar times in complete opposite parts of the region... done right but im probably the worst one at making life decisions like this .. lol.

ticket prices arent the same, caves presales are still at 45 dollars(for today) and are 60 at the door, m3f is 80 at the door.

the drive to the caves can be made in 4 to 5 hours unless your whip is a go-kart.

from the looks of it, both will have a really epic venue, with m3f perhaps geting a lil adv with the carnival and all the non-party extras.

the lineup for the caves is 10x better imo, just sphongle alone is enough to kill the entire lineup of m3f. i'm not even a huge psytrance fan but seeing infected mushroom at the caves 2 years ago changed my life lol.

and lastly, if u goto the caves there will be more chicago homies to hangout with, and u'll be running into people u havent seen in forever all day long.

just my take on things.

If I had the time and money, I'd go to m3f. Trajic is playing. I've NEVER seen him on a lineup in the '00s. One of the biggest influences in American Hard House.

werd

largest amount of people? i dont see why that would be such a big deal. big parties are great and all but if theres anything over 1000 people i'm not really standing around wishing more ppl would show up. if u were lookin for sheer numbers u could've just went to demf. vision/congress shows get alot too.

reminds me of another point, the vibe factor. and while the differences between a festival(a real one) and a large scale party/rave may be debatable. those who have gone to enough of both know there is a difference, i prefer the latter . and 98% of the people i know that have been to the caves will tell you that its a guarenteed great fuckin time.

I think the prices dropped ... I know people are selling presales cheaper then 50 and I think its 60 at the gate of M3F .. I think they changed it I will find out.. I know there isn't a parking fee .. and there will be a carnival there so... I'm going to ride the farris wheel and listen to some tunes.. It will be something new to do.

There isn't another party there in Sept. !!! Your sources are false!
