Traveling to New Berlin, WI

Im going to New Berlin, WI from 17-29th. I just found out that Chicago, IL is 2 hrs or so away so im intrigued and was wondering if anyone knows of anything going down? I'm a breakbeat dj and im partial to any funky and hard breakbeat music but im down with all genres. Any information or guidance would be appreciated.

and sorry to say you probably won't hear too much of any breakbeat here, let alone funky stuff. which is ashame, because some breakbeat can be really cool.

June 17-29th...My plane flight is in an hr and half. I saw its mainly hard trance and happy stuff....no funky no fun...Well hopefully I can check this. If anyone has any suggestions Ill try to have my phone AIM on ArAaRvOeNr

ha It's not mainly Trance and Happy stuff. Sadly Chicago is a House/DnB city.

Plenty of commercial progressive trance though.

Not really. There was a small Prog Trance boom back in '00 in the -21 club scene around here, but that kinda died out with the explosion of Hardstyle. The only Trance that comes around here are the bigger names in the +21 clubs every so often, and even then it's more Prog House than Trance.

i didn't mean there's like an underground scene for progressive trance, just kinda what you were getting at with the club stuff. theres still a decent amount of prog.trance, you just have to go to the clubs to find it {and i mean besides vision and the weed street scene}. the suburbs are littered with places where you can get down all night to prog. trance, but you won't hear too much english.
