Hey, I live in Indiana(Chicagoland Area) and I've been wanting to get out to a rave in Chicago. I missed the New Years Eve party, which I really wanted to check out.
Anyway back to the topic.
I'm in love with Trance, not so much other types of electronica, but some I can deal with. So i was wondering, what's the most played style around the Chicagoland area, or is Trance even big around there?

By the way, have you seen the line up for Ultra?
That second day is going to kick huge ass.
Who's going? Looking for some people to car pool with and I can probably drive, if you throw down gas money.

it depends on the party you go to... infared is generally hardcore/hardstyle, source is generally house/acid, seismic bass/shake it town is generally breaks & dnb...

of course, everyone varies a bit, but that's the general trend i've seen.

That's generally the deal, although Infared tries to get a nice amount of everything in.

You don't really see much if any trance at local parties or psy-trance =(!!

yeah i haven't heard good trance at a chicago rave since the stuff going on early in the night at street raver.

you'lll find a ton of trance in the chicago club scene... at least at vision / congress on certain nights...

you forgot electro for sbp and sit parties

but yeah we bang it out with the breaks a lot - and as far as trance goes for us... we'll probably bring some big names out once we start doing bigger events
