Well I gots lots of thoughts to share today>>>>
1st off I would like to thank a few people who helped us pull this off.
Bobby Blaze and his Girlfriend (I love the bracelet and I will wear it at every set), Amanda, Danny, Stevie, Chris, Joe Flex, Infared Ed-Roland-Al, my partner in crime dennis, and everyone else who put in their time and efforts in for the sake of this party (sorry if I didnt name you, but you guys know who you are

.
2nd I would like to thank a Few of our Djs:
Jane of the Jungle for beating it for 2hrs, Kitsch for bringing the whole party to their feet during her set, Dani for understanding when we had to cut her set short and last but not least Rebecca Ciaglia who didnt get to show the sick set she put together (look for her at MEMF!)
As most people know we lost our venue the day before our party. We managed to get another local venue that we felt would be a good fit for this party. We could have gone with the usual legal 3am spot, but we promised party monster style and we did our best to deliver. The venue owner didnt get there till 3am so no one knew how to turn on the Air Conditioning that we were promised, hope the fans helped.
We figured that we would be ok since he was cool with everything that went on there - except the smoking which they brought up to us at midnight, UGH!
To clarify why we shut down early, it was the cigarette smoking in the main room after we told people repeatably to stop. The final straw for the owner was the weed smoking and his fear of what would happen if the police came, thats understandable. But after all of what was going on there last night, the last thing anyone expected the owner to trip about was smoke.
Normally i would be pissed that my party got shut down because some knuckleheads cant respect simple requests. Despite the fact that my lighting and visuals NEVER showed up or called me, I wont call him out, lets just say his name sounds allot like..... DOUG! But this time I feel that during the time the party was going on, it was fuckin sick! Everyone got down till 3am and I dont remember anyone leaving without a smile on their face.
Lastly I would like to note and thank our current supporters. This entire year every party we have thrown, good or bad has resulted in Zero thefts and so far everytime someone loses a phone, wallet, etc - they turn it in to us and we get it to the owner. Last night a wallet from one of the NWIPC was turned in by a random raver and a cell phone that belonged to a friend of ours was turned in by one of the Detroit techno militia (show these guys some love next time you see them in Chicago). This is the case at every party and is a trend that i hope stays with us forever. I love the fact that the people in our scene are practicing PLUR, not just preaching it. This is why we keep going, despite how much we may lose at our events - We are doing this for you, for the scene. (FYI, thank god we broke even on this one +/- a hundred or two)
We mean this from the bottom of our hearts - Much Love, thanks and respect to all those who showed up and are helping us keep the Chicago scene alive....
