This member is the original thread starter. party reviving the scene

I know i might probably get a lot of hate mail for this, but im rady to take the blow.

Here it goes:

So lately me, and not only me, have noticed that the scene is still dying, because there's barely any PLUR in it. People and companies are getting shadier and shadier by every rave i go to. Some DJs don't even get paid, not even for the gas to get to the event. It's becoming a war between production companies. Although there are people still coming to the raves(and there will be, duh) they seem to get raided more often. A lot of people are getting busted for drugs too. Seeing and hearing all of this shit makes me a little mad and a bit sad, and although im not old skool, i have noticed the change in the scene. I strongly believe that drugs shouldn't be there to get you fucked up, but to, by your own choice, provide you an enhanced experience. What im trying to say by this is that we all should incorporate Peace, Love, UNITY, and Respect into the scene and make it better for ALL of us. I have an idea for something like that and i would love to hear your feedback on it or incorporate your own thoughts into this thread. My idea is so that those people who REALLY really want to help me and yourself and everybody else, put together enough money for one night to rent a warehouse or something of the sort. I think that we should all work in unity and it would be more of a donation towards the scene. No one would have to put in much. if there are a lot of good people who do believe in this and do understand where im going with this, then no one would have to put in that much money in this at all.

i hope you could understand what i am trying to say through this and thank you for reading it.

so far this is just an idea, but if people are willing to work with me on this, it could be more than jsut a thought in my head.

Don't be discouraged. Things like what you described have been going on for years upon years. There will probably always be shady promoters who are only looking out for themselves, and that sucks. Unfortunately, drugs will be around, like in any scene. You're absolutely correct when you say it's totally choice to take them. People have the power to say no.

Just remember that most of us are in this for one reason and one reason only (not counting friends as a reason), and that's the music.

When you have that many people throwing a party heads are bound to be butt. Everyone in this scene seems to have their own preferances as to what makes a party good. If I were you I'd just get a bunch of people and plan something out, as opposed to having a lot of people give you money to throw a party. Sadly the "rave" scene is still a business people still want to make money, and when shits dead (or dying whatever) shits gunna get a little bit shady. Just wait for the summer, a shitload of good stuffs popping up.

i go to parties purely for the thrill of spending lots of money and knowing they will more than likely get shut down.

There are way too many variables to get into this discussion.

Not all promoters start out all "i'm shady, watch me rip someone off" in fact most just get labeled that from one instance.

If you don't like who's going to events now, then start promoting to people that you like to hang out with.

You know I made a post, and looked at the time, it being 6:00am, it made absolutely no sense, but I'm sure I got something for ya Jordan. But for now, don't get discouraged as Jerr-bear said (..well thats a new one...) but you just have your ups and your downs, and to be honest, this is no down.
