As someone who is neither, a "raver" or a "burner" I will say that I believe both groups think the other thinks they are better than everyone, but neither group really feels this way about each other, or themselves. I have been to one rave, and one burning man event. (Underground Sound 3, and Resonate 3) The main difference between these "groups", as far as I can see is motivation, why the party is being put on. UGS3 was put on for everyone to go camping and have a good time. Resonate was put on to raise money and consciousness with the approach of Burning Man. With two totally different desires, the outcome will be totally different.

I had a great time at both events, just going to see what it was. I think the previous poster who said it's like comparing apples and oranges was right on. Both parties were an amazing experience, but for totally different reasons.
