I say bring a breaks guy like Local Hero or Tolgar. Also Darren Epsilon plays some awesome prog but hardly ever gets the chance to play out.

I my opinion, and from what ive seen chicago's scene thrives more on styles with more of a 4/4 kick to them (dnb excluded), although ive heard some good breaks dj's and its alright everyonce in a while. Its not something a lot of people would go out of their way to hear. Thats just my opinion.

Wouldn't mind seeing Mike Dearborn again...though I'm not sure if he is still mad at all the candi kids for sht that happened years ago(people breaking into events and what not.)

i think your wrong about the breaks. true kids might not go out of their way to hear it for the first time...but once they hear it its like 'whoa' and they want more.
IMO and from what i hear anyways. im not talking FLA breaks either from the 80s. im talking nuskool from europe and such...that shits illin |

Not sure if the party Blastoff was the tipping point or what(this was back maybe 97-98 I think), but I remember calling the info line the next day and Mike was mad as hell with us for the stupid sht. Some peeps broke a back window in get into the venue, think it was either at a warehouse or factory. There might have been more stuff that happened, but that's all I can recall atm...almost 10 years ago.
