It's been a while, but I finally finished a song I started on about two months ago. It was me trying to merge a few different styles together for shits and giggles. I wanted to get the hardness of US Hard House and the uplifting shit from Trance and put them together. I finally decided to not be lazy and work on it more last night. I put the final touches on it tonight and is now up on my page for everyone to check out.
It's called Skycycle. It might not be the first song that plays because I have it set to random, so click on it just to be sure you hear the correct one. Check it out! Feedback is always welcomed and encouraged. Have a great weekend, Jerry/Elekid [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Enjoy! |

I like the idea behind this track. Need to clean up the execution a bit imo. The drums sound great. I think you should play with some automated filtering on the synth sound. The riff sounds cool but it's a bit harsh. Try some filter builds every other measure. Then maybe another synth line an octave lower with more delay between the notes?
Good stuff. |

I don't really think there'd be enough time in the track to do another octave. I'll fiddle w/ the filtering but I don't know how good it'll be. I don't have that great of a filter plugin.

I didn't mean add another octave later in the measures. I meant lay it under the riff that's already there. To give it more depth to the riff. The way it is now, it sounds more hardcore/styleish than hardtranceish. Maybe that's what you were going for tho.
I've got a link to a veritable shit-ton of free VSTs including filters. If you remind me when I'm at home, I'll send you the link. |

Well the USHH comes through loud and clear via the drums. No confusion there.

What's that link you were sayin'? I wouldn't mind giving some filters a try.

Up the kick drum a lot more, i had to mess with the eq's on my stereo to hear any bass frequencey. Other then that i really dig the vocal cut you used, its definatley unique.
