greetings,

new to chicago from altanta.. as in i just moved here and dont know anyone! been out to smart bar (for mark farina, ect) a few times and to grammaphone and explored around the city a bit but thats it. going to try and hit ed rush & optical and 4/19 sounds like a stellar idea

.. i like grammaphone but what are some other record stores to check out for dance music? for hip-hop & downtempo i found that pretty well covered at dusty groove and reckless in lakeview. anways.. brand new so looking forward to meeting some people.. hollar..

Gramaphones probally as good as your going to get here. I think theres hot jams but I have never been there so I have no clue about what they sell.

clark/division area.. shitty nightlife of course but i can easily get to every other neighborhood from here, and.... the lake, the train, ect.

yeah i heard about hot jams but no detail either. is there a world of drum & bass party up here? i thought i saw something about it once but never found it again.
