I'll be moving to Peoria for College in about 4 months, and I've been wondering if there's much of a rave scene around that area. I've visited the city before, and it seems like a place where raves could easily be thrown... it's a very run-down/ industrialish city.
I feel like it's somewhat stupid to create a thread on this, but I've searched the internet, and have really found nothing about the rave scene in Peoria. I'm sure if there is one, that it's very underground, so if anyone knows anything about it, let me know :] |

I know it sounds funny, but if u set it up in P-town, people will come, you just gotta get the word out. We had one last year that was linked in to others worldwide, but nobody came cuz the people who were in charge of the event didnt advertise xcept on little shit. If u get the word out, ppl will come cuz everyone around here is so starved for things like this.

one of my friends who is also into the scene is moving out there with me too. We've actually talked about trying to start something up down there. Plus, it's close enough to Chicago that people up there would probably come down for events. I just wouldn't know where to start. I'm pretty new to the rave scene myself, so I would have no connects for something like this. I'm also sure you have to have some cash to start up a good event, which I have none of at the moment lol

Very true. Theres a small scene company about an hour away from Peoria in Bloomington-Normal that ISU kids go to sometimes, but they dont really advertise or get the talents or nething, but maybe something could happen.......

Toymaker is from somewhere down there. Barnyard Boogie was pretty cool and just outside of Peoria.

Sorry to Necro this post, must be annoying as hell, but I live in B/N, and for the life of me, I have never heard of anything decent here in town! Now that school is out, there's probably nothing going on, but, yeah, I didn't even know this town still had a scene. I've been hoping to hear about something decent a little closer to home (I.E. B/N or Peoria), but it doesn't seem to be happening right now. All I see are things in chicago (3 hours away! Arrgh!), and right now I barely have a job, let alone enough money for gas. But I suppose any scene is a good scene, right? Once again, sorry about Necro-ing this post, but yeah.
Care to elaborate on places of interest in B/N? ![]() |

I live half way between Peoria and Bloomington and the only thing I've found around here is BarnYard Boogie, which is pretty good. If anyone finds anything else in the area, please let me know.
