whats up,
wow!!!!!!!!thats all i can say is wow!!!!!!i didnt know i was a legend of the
rave scene!!!!!i thought people had forgotten all about me.ive been doing good.
yes,it is true i havent been in the rave scene too much lately.i do miss it!!!!!
i was just thinking the other day about how much i use to be in the scene,and how now it feels like nobody gives a crap about me.but from this forum i see
that thats not true.i didnt know that people still had love for the zebra.most of all
of that story is true.however,i never did the face paint.wanted too,but basicly figured it was a bad idea because of all of the sweat running down my face throughout the night.how i got the name--i always used to go to the rocks after parties,and i would see this one guy who could never remember my name.he would just remember me from the black and white striped tights i always wore on my arms.so one time,i believe after "Cold Chillin"at the harvey,i saw him at the rocks
and he called me zebra guy.i told him for the 4th or 5th time that my name was Zach.he said your Zach Zebra,thats how i will remember your name.after that i went to Even Furthur and started introducing myself as Zach Zebra.for Halloween that year my fiend Tigger
made me a pair of zebra striped phat pants,and a furry visor with zebra ears that
i wore to a party called "Into the Darkness"at the Odeum in Villa Park.i decided that night that i would wear this outfit to every party i went to from then on.
i loved being a charactor in the scene,and loved making people smile.soon i had lots of kidz bringing me black and white striped kandi,zebra toys,and even though
i didnt like them lots of kidz brought me Zebra Cakes.and i would accept them and stick them in my pants pockets which were only back pockets and i would end up sitting on them throughout the night.by the morning my ass would be covered in
smashed zebra cakes.so i started refusing them.but i would explain to the raver who gave them to me,that i appreciated the gesture of love.but could not accept them.they usually understood.i didnt realy know how big this zebra thing was untill
i went to a party in Kenosha at Marinos,and had lots of kidz wanting there picture taken with me.I think the biggest and best memory of being Zach Zebra is definately "ARCANUM" in Rockford with Frankie Bones.at the end of "In A People House 3" I got a flyer for ARCANUM,and saw that it was right around my 20th b-day.i remember telling alot of people that i was gonna make it my b-day party.i was
amazed when i got to ARCANUM when i saw all of the kidz there for my b-day.i had soooo many people come up to me and wish me a happy b-day,and give me
kandi,i got a zebra trenchcoat(thanx debbie),a giant stuffed animal zebra(thanx puddlez),and other stuff.i had people make me kandi that i had never met before.they had heard about me from friends.it took me honestly at least an hour just to get out to the dance floor.everywhere i turned someone was showing the zebra some love!!!!!!!!it was amazing.i guess over the years i kinda lost site of the
pluriness i once possesed.i started not wanting to be the center of attention.i started going to partys not in my zebra get up.and if i did wear zebra stuff it was
my striped tights on my arms,and a zebra bandanna on my face.people in chicago
probably saw this a few times.then it slowly digressed to nothing.but i guess somewhere in my rave years i made an impact in someones life,or at least their
raver life.thats awesome!!!!!!!it makes me smile.so to finish,im not dead,im not gone.im alive and still kicking.and its safe to say the Zebra will be in full effect
at MEMF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hope to see you all there.the Zebra reborn MEMF 2008
