so I'm cruisin around Rocktown today ...I see the Groove Shop ...I havn't been in there in a while so I stop in.. Im looking for something ...not exactly sure what Im looking for but I know it's something. I walk over to the counter and stand there looking for new flyers I havnt seen yet, and I find a couple ...Miranda's- 21+ two rooms,3-17 two nights, ladies no cover, 9-2am-21+ 6116 Mulford Village Dr......and a flyer from Purefuture with Paul Okenfold! A Lively Mind 4-10 21+ [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]... im like hell yah ... but for some reason I still feel like I need to find more... some kind of deep seeded undisclosed understanding that I needed to find something better than that..heh...so, in a confused daze, I follow the glass looking for a cd. I talk to the attendant for a little while. I wonder if theres some kind of "thing" a purple hippo sent to me that I may not have gotten..ya know?....after about 15 minuites..I smile and turn to the front door and I exit the building....I realize "dude theres nothing in this town!"....Im extatic!
I get all these Ideas...all at once...there is no real engine driving things here...maybe in comparison... theres a fueled chainsaw doin some light work but, no real Big Block V8...what if there was something more? could Rockford become a junction point for Illinois,Iowa, and Wisconson...I become disorented jump in my car and begin to drive home...contemplating ... I yell outloud over the music "what would others think?"

rockford use to have raves..but all the good venues went to shit and plus the five-o's cracked down on the ravers...but i will be at wet to see paul oakenfold

haha yah thats true ....but if im not mistaken didn't chicago feel the same iorn fist? Now its back...sure in its still in the bottles and diapers stage but..there is someone making quite an impact there..mainly source after wonderland...and it's drastically begining to pick up.

its been picking up for the past year or so. There were a lot of parties before source threw wonderland also, smaller but still a whole lotta fun. But yeah source has made a definate impact on the chicago scene.
