This member is the original thread starter. Default Insomnia Review and fist fight?

Insomnia was the fuckin' shit. The music was good, the vibe was once more good and it was fuckin' kickin'. Too bad I didn't stay long. As some of you would know, me Michele and TJ got kicked out.

As for me, the prime objective tonight for me was to "Mingle" I need to get laid or atleast develope a relationship or something. There was so many stringers and cool people. Michele and TJ edged me to go to the middle of the floor to continue stringing and we did. We gained a HUGE crowd and some jackass came along.

The asshole would jump around and push Michele, TJ and I and fuck up our stringing. The 1st time he did it, we was like..."Okay?" the 2nd time we was like "Alright this shit is annoying" I pull TJ aside and said "Next time he does that again, I'm fuckin' him up" and he did it again and TJ swung the glowstick as hard as he fuckin can at his face....Like an ultimate neck wrap or something and I seen the guy turn around and try to deck TJ, TJ ducked and I tackled the guy to the ground.

I got on top of him and I started beating the fuck out of him. I remember I was completely calm as my fist plowed into his skull overwritten with the sweet pulsing sound of banging house. I cocked back my arm as far as I could and kept punching him in the temple trying to crack his skull. I was in the mount position, he was on his side, so he couldn't do SHIT! Straight PWNed his ass.

THEN, I felt a slight knock on the back of my skull. Come to find out his friend wanted a piece of me, so I got up instead of one fucker, there was 2. One "Trying" to hold me would the other trying to take shots. I remember I grabbed the other guy's black hair (I believe I ripped some of his hair out) pulled his head down and I started going at that guy as the other guy was pulling me from behind. I lost my shoe in the scuffle and somehow I got pulled away. Meanwhile, TJ kicked the cowboy shit out of the guy I pounced to the ground and knocked out his tooth.

Well, sercurity mis interpret what I said on who started it and kicked TJ out. Then Michele got kicked out because she was about to go at the guy. Then I got kicked out when I went downstairs to find Michele and the cops had my shoe.

So, fuck that kid who pissed me off. If I see you at any rave, in Chicago, I'm fuckin' you up. Besides that, I'm cool. Too bad I didn't mingle with most of you. I seen Carl come in, I seen Steve and Kailee, but seen'em too late after all the shit happend and didn't have time to talk. So...Bleh.

I see you guys at Massive. I'm going to sleep.

That venue was far out. More than I expected. Good amount of people for having 2 parties in one night. The sound problems sucked, but I kept tryin to groove with it, a little difficult though. I saw the fight; that person who was messin with you RLers really had it coming. I got respect for you guys for standing up for your self.
Overall, I loved transforming that basketball gym into a rave. Those bleacher stands on the sides were tight, I felt like I was ravin it up in my old high school gym. I got to give it up to the people of Chicago, I see such a diverse crowd at these events. Never bores me.

Peace...

You didn't miss much, except for a high school dance being babysitted by a bunch of Cicero cops. I think it was pretty lame, even though the music was ok, and a lot of space to dance. They didn't even sell beer because they applied for the liquer license too late. There will be better parties in the future. Be glad you didn't have to spent $20.00 for this party.
Peace

Okay so I saw the fist fight break out and I was like wow this just proves that Insomnia is for high schoolers. In fact I would say 90% of the people were high schoolers and all the adults left as soon as they came. When I heard from Michele about what happened I was like oh my gosh but after reading what you said Leo I wish you guys kicked those non-ravers ass again and maybe some Ciecero cops for kicking so many people out of the party. Never again have parties in Ciecero! The venue rocked and was worth $15 dollars and the DJ's/Light Show rocked! But the bottom room was all lit up like the sun was out and even the main venue was to bright and to top it off I think their was more cops then ravers at this party. Man I wish I was at Kickback 2.0 again that was the last great party I have had in a few weeks. I give Insomnia only 2 out of 10 seamonkeys.

We tried to make the best out of this event. We thought we had an awesome venue. First they told us no smoking when they told us there was smoking when we signed the contract. Then they told us that they didn't get the liquor license in time (nice of them to tell us the night of), and then they started charging for there parking lot without even notifying us. To top things off they made us use cicero cops as security, who were being absolute dicks. And shutting down the party at 2:30 because of noise complaints was b.s. as well.(considering our contract said to 3:30...and the owner said we could go to 4) So we apologize to everyone but we had no idea they were going to pull this shit on us.

As for the party it was rocking. Great music from everyone. Clubbers and ravers didn't mix as well as we had hoped. All in all we hope all of you who came out and supported had a great time and we promise that massive will be 100 percent better. Where do you get down? (not in cicero, they burned there bridges), Shake-It-Town

Thats insane. But i mean if you were in the middles of the dance floor, stringing that does sometimes piss people off a lot. I didn't go to this, but after reading this im definately glad i didn't (i did have intentions and the money to hit up both partys), I sure as hell hope the wonderland massive isn;t going to be held at this spot after reading these reviews.
