The Big Event:

Dustin Zahn of Attack People - Minneapolis, MN
Abiotic Recordings, Mankind, Traum
Extended Live PA & DJ set
Jackin' Minimal Techno

Dustin Zahn has accomplished in a few years what most people do in their whole career. His releases on some of techno’s biggest labels have been canned by some of the most skilled and daring DJs to face the international circuit. Along with Ian Lehman, he forged the well-received “Attack People” live performance…bringing his show across the US, to South America, and Europe as well. When he’s not setting dance floors ablaze with his diverse 3 turntable DJ sets or supercharged live pa sessions, he co-promotes some of Minneapolis’s biggest techno parties. In addition, he also manages his labels Abiotic Recordings and Enemy, whose rosters even rival many of Europe’s biggest techno labels. While opting to stay out of the spotlight and allow the music to do the talking, Dustin is relatively unknown outside the techno circle…but after tonight you’ll be begging for more.

Dustin Zahn’s driving and hypnotic Live PA’s have brought him all over the world from the U.S. to Europe, and even South America. His moody, tribal sound has caught the attention of techno labels and DJs everywhere. Come and join in on the experience and see why Dustin has quickly become a staple in the North American techno scene.

In early 2001, Dustin and Ian both agreed to take things to the next level. They put a halt on bookings and concentrated on the studio. A year later their work had emerged onto vinyl and all over the internet, creating a serious buzz. Abiotic was born and the duo formed The Attack People.

A few words can easily describe Dustin Zahn's style: moody, tribal, dark, and hypnotic. Since Dustin co-founded Abiotic Recordings with Ian Lehman in 2001, he's finished projects for labels such as Invasion, Mankind, Compound, GFR, Humanoid, and many other labels. His tracks have received support from techno DJs such as Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Umek, Cari Lekebusch, Patrik Skoog, and countless more. Together with partner Ian Lehman they perform a Live PA under the moniker "The Attack People." A project concentrating on moody, futuristic funk for both the mind and dance floor. Zahn is also known for his diverse DJ sets which have brought him all over the U.S., to Europe, and South America.

Casper - Chicago, IL
Good Looking Records, Strictly Jungle Chicago
Old Skool Drum n Bass DJ Set

In the 90s, Casper was the undisputed champion of atmospheric/jazzy style of drum & bass in the US. While attending college in Boston, Casper was a resident DJ at one of the first weekly drum and bass nights in the US - Phuturistic Bluez' Jungle Roots (aka Sessionz) - from 1995 to 1997. From 1996 to 1999, he maintained a residency on the longest running weekly drum and bass radio show in the country - Strictly Jungle Chicago on WNUR FM w/ DJ Snuggles. On the production tip, Casper worked with Chris J on several atmospheric d&b projects. Their track, "Mysteries", was released on LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records in 2001 under the alias Cascade. Two other tunes from that era - "Revelation" and "Symmetry" finally saw the light of day in 2003 on S.F. imprint True Intent.

From 1999 to 2002, Casper took a break from d&b in order to push the sound of UK garage in the US. After hearing UK garage on pirate radio in London, he immediately fell in love with it. Casper established himself as "the leading 2-step DJ in the US" (Urb Magazine). In July 2000, Casper became the first American DJ to play UK garage in London - dropping massive sets at Liberty (Club Colosseum) and on pirate radio station Life FM. He was selected for the 2002 Urb Next 100.
