HUMP3D
April 1, 2006 Chicago, IL Audio Intellect is pleased to bring you the third installment of HUMP, our annual ode to the birds and the bees. This year promises to be the biggest, most debaucherous version Chicago has ever seen. As always we will be running a canned food drive to be donated to the Greater Chicagoland Food Depository, so please be kind and bring donations. 40,000 watt ALPHA NEXO sound system, enough to make your ears ring for days provided by midwest-underground.com full light and retina-burning laser show provided by Mero Productions The Big Event: ![]() Dustin Zahn of Attack People - Minneapolis, MN Abiotic Recordings, Mankind, Traum Extended Live PA & DJ set Jackin' Minimal Techno Dustin Zahn has accomplished in a few years what most people do in their whole career. His releases on some of techno’s biggest labels have been canned by some of the most skilled and daring DJs to face the international circuit. Along with Ian Lehman, he forged the well-received “Attack People” live performance…bringing his show across the US, to South America, and Europe as well. When he’s not setting dance floors ablaze with his diverse 3 turntable DJ sets or supercharged live pa sessions, he co-promotes some of Minneapolis’s biggest techno parties. In addition, he also manages his labels Abiotic Recordings and Enemy, whose rosters even rival many of Europe’s biggest techno labels. While opting to stay out of the spotlight and allow the music to do the talking, Dustin is relatively unknown outside the techno circle…but after tonight you’ll be begging for more. Dustin Zahn’s driving and hypnotic Live PA’s have brought him all over the world from the U.S. to Europe, and even South America. His moody, tribal sound has caught the attention of techno labels and DJs everywhere. Come and join in on the experience and see why Dustin has quickly become a staple in the North American techno scene. In early 2001, Dustin and Ian both agreed to take things to the next level. They put a halt on bookings and concentrated on the studio. A year later their work had emerged onto vinyl and all over the internet, creating a serious buzz. Abiotic was born and the duo formed The Attack People. A few words can easily describe Dustin Zahn's style: moody, tribal, dark, and hypnotic. Since Dustin co-founded Abiotic Recordings with Ian Lehman in 2001, he's finished projects for labels such as Invasion, Mankind, Compound, GFR, Humanoid, and many other labels. His tracks have received support from techno DJs such as Adam Beyer, Ben Sims, Chris Liebing, Dave Clarke, Umek, Cari Lekebusch, Patrik Skoog, and countless more. Together with partner Ian Lehman they perform a Live PA under the moniker "The Attack People." A project concentrating on moody, futuristic funk for both the mind and dance floor. Zahn is also known for his diverse DJ sets which have brought him all over the U.S., to Europe, and South America. ![]() SIMON - Washington D.C.
