In 2001 he decided it was time to take promotion into his own hands and created "Sleaze", one of the worlds first club nights dedicated to the newly emerging electrohouse scene. Sleaze gathered a lot of press and was a huge success in exposing such great artists as Legowelt, My Robot Friend, John Selway, Ulysses, Valentio Kanzyani, Justin Robertson, Tommie Sunshine, Jambi, Dj Unknown, Spalding Rockwell, Paul Edge, DMX Krew, Traxx, Barry Weaver, Jean-Philippe Aviance, Larry Tee, Miss Kittin, Invasion Plannete Phonograms, and many more to the masses. Today Simon is still a staple @ Buzzlife's "Cubik" Events. (Voted Best New Club Night 2004 By URB), and currently holding down fort with residencies @ Club Five (Voted Best club in Washington D.C.).

Simon is also the host of 'Redux, the only nationally broadcasted show of its kind on XM radio Ch.80 'The Move' (nominated for Dance Star awards in 2004 & 2005) with resident advisors Tommie Sunshine, Larry Tee, John B &, Dj Unknown. Every week over 250,000 people tune in to hear their futuristic retro funk and interviews with the best talent in their scene. More recently Simon has re-directed all of his free time and energy into his studio work, with a few tracks already on labels like Mining Vinyl and The Syndicate circulating, he's being hailed the one to watch for. 2006 will see the release of Simon's 1st fully licensed & distributed Mix CD, "Redux Vol.1", the first in a series of 5, to be released on "Night Machine Recordings".

Casper - Chicago, IL
Good Looking Records, Strictly Jungle Chicago
Old Skool Drum n Bass DJ Set

In the 90s, Casper was the undisputed champion of atmospheric/jazzy style of drum & bass in the US. While attending college in Boston, Casper was a resident DJ at one of the first weekly drum and bass nights in the US - Phuturistic Bluez' Jungle Roots (aka Sessionz) - from 1995 to 1997. From 1996 to 1999, he maintained a residency on the longest running weekly drum and bass radio show in the country - Strictly Jungle Chicago on WNUR FM w/ DJ Snuggles. On the production tip, Casper worked with Chris J on several atmospheric d&b projects. Their track, "Mysteries", was released on LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records in 2001 under the alias Cascade. Two other tunes from that era - "Revelation" and "Symmetry" finally saw the light of day in 2003 on S.F. imprint True Intent.

From 1999 to 2002, Casper took a break from d&b in order to push the sound of UK garage in the US. After hearing UK garage on pirate radio in London, he immediately fell in love with it. Casper established himself as "the leading 2-step DJ in the US" (Urb Magazine). In July 2000, Casper became the first American DJ to play UK garage in London - dropping massive sets at Liberty (Club Colosseum) and on pirate radio station Life FM. He was selected for the 2002 Urb Next 100.

Default See DJ Raphael @ HUMP3D!

DJ Raphael (Champaign, IL) :: House/Techno/Drum & Bass :: Spoololife.com / Toy Maker Music / NewDiggs.net

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
(Above URL is a brief scratch sample)

Deep N2 the rhythm of life, Spoololife Technologies DJ "Raphael Kroshay" has developed a firm history of introducing EDM fans to the beats of different drums. This Rochester, NY born DJ was musically influenced at a young age. Beginning with the Clarinet in the 4th grade, Raphael became guided by rhythm and joined the marching band. With an intensely growing love for music and the rhythm of life, as well as strong support from his parents, Raphael grew fond of hand drumming and complex rhythm structures.

A flexible and focused artist, Raphael maintains a clever approach to House, Techno, Breaks, and Drum and Bass. Even further, Raphael doubles as a keen tribal percussionist and can also drop the rough rugged and raw chops, cuts, and scratches. Tis for this reason it's no surprise to witness Raphael opening for legends such as Juan Atkins one night, and shakin' dancefloors next to Mark Almaria the next. No stranger to the arena, Raphael has been billed alongside brilliant DJs such as DJ Booth, DJ Nitro, Wilhelm K., 3D, Disko Kitty, Avex Axium, MD & Jack Herrer, Alex P. and many more.
A self-taught entertainer on the 1s and 2s, Raphael has developed an innovative style of Fusion Turntablism.. and pairs it with a playful and energetic stage presence.

With a strong connection to culture, Raphael also enjoys many aspects of the EDM DJ craft, spending time teaching and demonstrating EDM in High Schools as well as private instruction. Raphael also expresses himself through yet another medium. His clothing line "New Diggs" has gained popularity in New York, California, and the Midwest... all hand crafted, designed, and "Croshayed" by the one and only Raphael.
