Help with video

If anyone has the computer capabilities to "capture" footage from a VHS tape, and would like to help me, please PM me...
I have some video from LIM and DJ Annalyze that I want to share, but the disc is bad and won't open on my DVD editing programs. So, I recorded it on VHS format and need to capture the video from a VCR, and turn it into a MPEG.
If your in the Chicagoland area, and can help me with this simple project let me know. Thanks....
