one thing; what happend to matt green?

so i'm pretty sure i'll be coming to this.
however i won't be venturing home beforehand which means I will not have any kandi, glowsticks, poprox or even fire poi! shit! what the hell will i do the whole time.

but my experience with events like these is that 17 (16.. 15....) year olds can get in... rarely do they ask for id's and when they tend do they just "glance" at them.
however I do not represent any promoter. but i'm sure they will appreciate the business for sure.

I've been meaning to write this for a while but never got around to it.

First off, this event was totally killer. I had an absolute blast. It's been a while since I've gone to an event like this danced as much as I did, and I was *gasp* sober. De la mota absolutely tore it up like he always does and psytrance??? what??? Greenman was ridiculous and really got the dance floor moving.

Unlike a lot of events lately that have failed to deliver what was promised (smartbar at bounce, line-up at love is, etc) this event delivered and then some. Adding an entire stage! allowing fire-spinnig, allowing smoking, backpacks. While security was a little too present they didn't seem to bother anyone and even gave me another wristband after I *cough* lost mine.

But the best part was this event had a purpose. I hate it when people use the term "party" to describe these gatherings because if I wanted to "party" i'd go to the frathouse down the street and get "shwasted" or "trashed." This event helped fundraise (or was suppose to), and raise awareness of one of the greatest issues of our time.

That being said, to be honest, there was nobody there. I'm sure the promotors lost a ton of money on this event and i feel terribly sorry for them. If i had to guess I'd say 30-40 people were there for the event?? Considering there were what 20 dj's? Does that mean most dj 's can't manage to bring two friends (or strangers) to come along with him/her?
I admit I would have promoted a lot more if I had known how much fun this was going to be and only brought my girl along with me. Also if I had known we could spin fire beforehand I could have promoted among the burner crowd. But sweet georgia brown this turnout was terrible.

I had fun at this party but it does not come close to bounce. Energy and vibes were amazing at bounce.


I was really hoping for this party to turn out big; and was really wanting to see matt green. whatever... fun times with friends
