So who is all your favorite local / professional djs, and why?

tony humphries, frankie knuckles, gene hunt -- all about the old, soul, jazz and motown house music, bringin' it back to deeper meaning and better times... there are tons of other great chi-dj's of this caliber, but none that i have seen or heard so well

I would hate to make a list cause I will leave so many out that I don't remember atm. Lego, Justin Long, Mystic Bill, Terry Mullen....SuperJane....

Since it was and might still be hard to find good sweet uplifting trance in Chicago's record stores, there are a few high on my list from Europe,...Push/M.I.K.E., Kai Tracid to name a couple.

Ellen Allien--i fell in love with her music with her album weiss mix--its mind blowing.
T.Raumschmiere - you want to hear real music..listen to his..plus his name is from one of my favorite authors William S. burroughs called the Dreamcops
Adam Beyer-DRUMCODE!!! that is all i have to say
Ant-i been following him since the late 90's he has talent and releases some hard ass dub plates!!
Chris Liebing-awesome live
Kevin Saunderson- what can i say about him..throws one of the greatest event in detroit..and when he isnt doing that he is producing some sick ass tracks!!
DJ Rush-what can i not say about him..he is JACK!
Johannes Heil -one of my favorite producers ever!!!
Heiko Laux-i love his music..and one day i will see him live!!
Tim Xavier-love the hard pounding tracks that he throw down one after another
Cari Lekebusch -he knows how to make a crowd move and knows where to project the energy
Daft Punk-all i have to say is further!!!


Trance
Paul Oakenfold-um..its cuz of his havana mix and his one jungle mix he did.
Teisto-he throws some techno into his set.
Ferry Corsten-he is just a great producer

House
Larry Heard-i grew up on his shit
Mark Farina-love that mushroom jazz!!
Derrick Carter-jack jack
Terry Mullens- he throws down some sick ass tech-house
Farley Jackmaster - when u think of JACK..fingers point to jackmaster!!
Bad Boy Bill- well cuz he taught me everything i know in this business
Craig Alexander - when he throws down..jack pits every where
Audio Bullies - if you didnt know...u would of thought these guys were from chicago cuz they KNOW house

Rene Pilgrim- i stood in awe last time i seen him
Baby Anne - any girl that can look good and still throw down some nu-skool breaks is A in my book
Eva - she is so good that she gets booked without a mix
Shugga - always know how to make me bust a move
Ananlyze - scratching skills above par
Plump DJs - good producer and awesome live

Artful Dodger - one of my favorite djs..
Lady Sovereign - she is awesome
Ms. Dynamite - i love her album..makes me happy
Todd Edwards - good producer..and flawless mixer
Agent X - wow!!
Dizzie Rascal - he brings his A game all the time
DJ Plasticman - no not richie hawtin but u can say he is the richie hawtin of UK garage

James Holden - when i saw him...the sound he brought was amazing
Deep Pack - love the mixes
DJ Mystery - brings back old skool memories
Activator - WOW!!! simply amazing
Tatanka - skilled -blends trance to hardstyle
