Is SummerDance done for house music in the land where house music was born?

cheer up!! Maybe those DJ's are new for you guys, and if they're playing in summer dance they might be good :-) Depending on the music they play, it doesnt matter who is it but how they play

Yeah I guess thats what people have been saying, what I don't understand though is that Summer Dance (to my prior knowledge) is to support house music [to some extent; along with all music], at least that's what I read in a popular magazine article (Chicago) I'm guessing there's a small possibility they will release more info on performances toward the end of their shows...

When the electronic music festival start though? I know there are different dates for different kinds of music, i.e. rap, rock, latin, tango, electronica, etc, etc, etc...

Thank you for your interest in our programs. The SummerDance DJ Series is on hiatus for the summer of 2007. The event requires specific venue and security needs. After exploring many options, we were not able to identify venues that matched our needs for this summer.

No EDM on any type. No trance, techno, electronica, D&B, House, or anything like it. Mostly african, brazilian, latin music. This music-fest will suck ass in Chicago this year!!!
