eh...Energy nightclub is a really weird vibe. Good luck trying to get your dance on there, it'll prolly be full of "club kids" hoggin the floor and not moving or grinding all over everyone.

For me, the venue has nothing to do with enjoying one of the best dj's Chicago has to offer. I would support Bad Boy Bill in a dark alley on a shitty sound system with no lights and only 1 turntable. Energy happens to have a full liquor bar, killler lights and sound and will not be shut done early. I'll never become a part of the whole ravers vrs club kids thing. Music should be the one thing that unites all walks of life.

i goto clubs too, but i've heard enough bad shit about energy(and not much good) to know that its probably not a place i would enjoy being in unless i took a shitload of good stuff, BBB or not
cause i've seen him a couple times anyways. i suspose if you really really wanna see him its worth going, but its not like he's not gonna hitup somewhere else in a timely manner is all i'm sayin. |

Energy has that "Hey I'm out in public but I will only talk to people I know" vibe.
I payed to get into that place once and left after 20 minutes. There isn't enough alcohol in that place to make those snobs friendly. |

Fair enough.. I guess I really haven't gone there enough times to have a bad experience. I will say this though: that was the only event going on lastnight that I could find. I grew up on BBB mixes, so I'm a big fan of his. Hope to see him @ an underground again some day.

Haven't seen any hype on BBB coming to DC next month, yet.. so I'm jumping on the Chicago bandwagon...
He will be here Dec 15th, and I'm going! Should be a fun night. If anyone saw him on Thanksgiving, post your good times! I'd love to hear about it. ![]() |

Here's a quote directly from there website, "First off Thank You to the thousands of club heads that came out to see Bad Boy Bill. The Night was truely amazing from start to finish. Serge Devant kicked off the night with an amazing set, followed by Steve Smooth and JJ Flores with the sexy Bad Ass Bitches. When it was time for Bad Boy Bill the crowd was going crazy chanting Baddd Boyyy, Baddd Boyyy, Baddd Boyyyy. Bill threw down with an amzing set leaving the crowd breathless on the dancefloor. Mixin Marc and Alex Peace finished up the night using up whatever energy was left. By far one of the best nights ever".
IMO, there's only a handfull of dj's in the CHI that can truly Scratch. BBB and Danny-TWC to name a couple. Bill's scratching is always flawless. If you goto energythursdays.com , his set just starts playing... |
