Well, ive gone almost every year cept the first and last and i can say theres a good mix of music. No happy hardcore but it's a gamble on whats going to be going down this year. Im hoping for something like that at a big after party of something so but who really knows. Imo theb est music is always underground or if you facing the river the tent to the far right side all the way by the stairs leading to the river front.

Yeah I wouldn't count out happy hardcore just yet. We get new artists and DJs every year. I went on the last day last year and I didn't hear much of any house. Lots of trance, drum and bass, electro..etc. And I did see a lot of kandy ravers.

Most of the music at the festival itself is Techno typically. There is typically a good amount of house there, but the amount of techno outnumbers every other genre combined at the festival it seems. I don't see there ever being any Happy Hardcore at the festival itself, but there are sometimes afterparties that have that type of music. Detroit is a Techno city and will always be...
Check [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for info on all the afterparties...almost every one is posted on there... I've heard of a lot of the DJs on the lineup, but if you're not into Techno, its not surprising that you wouldn't have heard of a lot of the names on there. If you don't know an artist, look them up on the web and hear what they play, you might find some folks that you like that way... Last edited by beatpoet; 18.4.2008 at 6:02 pm. Reason: . |
