Any parties UNDER 18 allowed?

I don't know how it is in Michigan, but here in California it's a liability thing. Nobody wants some underage kid to be at their party getting high and then overdosing, where the ambulance is called and then his/her parents are now suing because the people who threw the party shouldn't have let their kid in in the first place, and because we did, he/she got high and overdosed. A ticket is a legally binding contract, nobody is allowed to contract with a kid without their parents consent. If you wanted to get your money back at a movie theater you could for the same legal reason, even after seeing the movie. Tho if this caught on, no kid would be able to ever buy a ticket at a movie theater without their parents or legal guardian present, or at least a note. How funny would that be. "Here's my note, can I get a ticket now?" So that said, all the clauses that say we're not responisble can be used when you are 18+ because it's a legally binding contract, whereas for minors you can't use such a contract. So that makes the venue responsible, or at least the people renting the venue. Or at least my friends Dad, the lawyer, said so.

Ha Ha Ha. Sorry about your space being eaten up like that. I didn't really mean to say overdose. I mean what if somebody got a bunk pill and had a bad trip and just from that the ambulance was called. Besides, the funny thing is that I could get into anywhere really when I was 16, because I look much older than I am, but really didn't start till I was 23 and then got so burned out that by 24 I was done with it, now I just go here and there. I don't stress about, oh my god it's my favorite DJ, or oh my god it's going to be local to me. I just enjoy life and if I feel like going to a party once in a while I plan it out and go for a reason, like to see a DJ friend of mine spin, or to meetup with a few sober people and have a good time, else I'm just there to get high and for the price of what admission is these days, I'd think people would rather put on a good mix cd and hang out with their friends and smoke some herb without the dangers that could happen while you're checking out of reality for a few.
