This member is the original thread starter. Default Ok, so what's the deal with Blitzen 2.

I've heard rumors that B2 has been cancelled totally, they aren't even going to start to plan it.

Then I've heard that they are in the process of booking djs and looking for a venue...

If anyone from GSP could please say what's happening with this event? I really want to go to Blitzen 2 (especially if you have as good of a lineup as you guys had at Afterlife ). Isn't too oftent that there are all ages events around Columbus, and I hope that you guys will still be putting on B2...

If it turns out GSP is not doing Blitzen 2 this year, can anyone tell me of some all ages parties in the works right now? Preferabley not any of those damn club "raves" that I always see promoted...

To all of our loyal patrons, Dusk Till Dawn Events, GSP, & Nightbreed Productions would like to extend our sincere apologies regarding the unfortunate violation of our event and our rights by the City of Columbus Police.

As most of you are already aware we went to great lengths to plan and execute our event. An event that was sanctioned by the City of Columbus, The Division of Fire and all agencies affiliated with regulating such events. Afterlife went to great expense to insure that all regulations were met. Some of our expenses included the hiring of three (3) City of Columbus fire inspectors for the entire event along with all applicable permits relating to this event. We also incurred the expense of fifteen (15) trained security professionals with the goal of providing a safe environment for our guests. Our patrons were well behaved and law abiding. In fact there were no arrests or incidents requiring any law enforcement personnel action.

The event was scheduled to run till 6AM. We as the organizers of the event feel that we were victims of harassment and our rights to provide entertainment for our patrons has been violated.

No reason has been provided to us as of this date as to why we were closed down at 2:30AM. We have begun the process of asking questions and seeking remedies for the City’s actions.

We plan on a very special event that will show our loyal customers that we are here to stay and there will be many more events to follow. We ask that you understand the early termination of our party was at the order of the Columbus Police and we had no choice but to comply.

We also ask that you understand that we will take any and all steps necessary through the legal process to ensure that this never happens again. Our events are attended by people from all over the country. We will not allow one unfortunate situation stop our business of providing a safe and fun environment for our clients.

Please stay tuned for our plans for the next event and know that all who were in attendance will be shown VIP treatment.

Please check back to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] & [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to keep up to date for our plans for future events. We will also keep you abreast of our ongoing communication with Columbus Police Department and the City of Columbus about the issues regarding the event of 10/22/05.

there will be no Blitzen 2 because of legal issues.....there will be more GSP events as the announcement tells.....the next event is going to be "very special"....patience will be rewarded.....but the offical statement pretty much tells all

I hope they bring paladin back...And dieselboy...I know glaude is coming because GSP said that they got a call saying he'd spin for free at their next event due to the raid.

I'm still sorta upset about blitzen, but I'm sure their next event will be cool.

alot of the DJs that didn't get to play...or didn't get to play a full set will be at the next party i think. I too would give anything to see Paladin again but i dunno if that is going to happen because there will be a whole new line up added for the next GSP event. BUT!! if you really wanna see a certain DJ then get on the promotion crews asses that are in the Ohio area. Tell them on message boards or whatever that if they bring so and so into town then you will come out! I, as well as many others in the area seem to have a HUGE desire to see Paladin again so lets make sure he comes back

Paladin hands down the best dj there that night. Chest poundin bass and the energy given off by him was enough to give you a buzz. Bad ass set! Book HIM MORE!
