New to Cinci

What's up everyone!

What can I say after moving back to Cinci after a wonderfull year spend in Toronto, listening to the likes of Mark Oliver and Chris Joseph almost every weekend at Guvernment. After coming back to Cinci I realized that the Midwest sucks in almost every way (I was not really into the rave scene before canada). I feel like I can no longer enjoy the regular club/bar scene, I hate the music (how many songs about money, cars, bitches, and how I f**ed you wife can you really listen to), I hate the drunk idiots that think that you are there to hit on their girlfriends, I hate the sparkling, clean shaved used car salesmen that glare at you with their fake Rolex's and shiny fake leather shoes, I hate the stuck up girls that think you owe them a drink just by getting one yourself, and the sluts that are there just for show, but most of all I hate the "I am better than you" attitudes of most of the people that are there

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I had to get it off my chest.
I really want to go to the next event (info please!!!) that will be going on around Cincy (1-2 hrs), and see if there are others that share my sentiments (I believe there are). I am into trance, progressive house, some DnB.

The people I hang with don't rave, so it's kind of hard to explore the scene. But I am at a point where I don't care anymore, I'll go by myself if I have to.

its true..haha.. so find a show....and go to it. meet some people that like the music your into....instead of going clubbing..obviously thats not what you like...

I will probably be only able to go to "Triple Canopy" or "Critical Dimension", not both. Which one would you guys reccomend. I prefer (Not Stuck On) trance/house and a slightly older crowd, not so much into kandi

well critical dimension is the pre-party for triple canopy...triple canopy is gonna be bangin...but its up to you...they will both be awesome...

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I will be going to Triple Canopy. I will try to make it to Critical Dimension but I don't know if I will. I don't know any of the DJ's on the list, but I am sure I will find something that I like. Hope to see you all there.

it's only 5 bucks for CD and if you get there before 10 it's only 10bucks for TC! that's (adds on fingers) 18hrs of music for 15bucks...

I think I will be going to CD cause as bradmack stated in another post there will be more variety there then TC. I'm not a huge fan of DnB.

Yeah Triple Canopy is mostly jungle and regga, which prolly isnt what you like..im trying to go to both.
