There's a facebook event for this that has 50 or so people listed as attending at something like 200 maybes. I don't really know what this because I can't really picture where this is happening in the UCF building (I've been in the building for my Meditation class last semester). I have no idea what to expect overall.

Um, I am sure this is going to be a cool party for people who prefer the darker rave sounds of Jungle, DnB, Hardcore and Breaks...but I think its somewhat funny that the promotion crew claims it is "contrasting 'rave' and 'jungle' music."
In the first place, all four styles are simply subsets of the Rave scene, although it is understandable that each one wants to stand out on it's own. In the second place, the selection of styles isn't contrasting rave with jungle...it is contrasting two styles representing a non-empathic, isolationist, individualistic ideology of dance (breaks and hardcore) with two styles representing a darker, heavy-beat tribal-group dance experience (Jungle and DnB). Just thought I would clear that up. I still hope everyone who went had mad fun! Party on! ![]() |
