LOL yer not wierd...I dont mind listening to one of the darker rave sounds periodically when I am at a rave and not into the main room's DJ set. I just call parties that are mostly the heavy beats or hardcore "Dark" because the music is somewhat dark and basic.

Hardcore reminds me of the punk scene gone techno, slam pits and all. Breaks and DnB remind me of the old dance battles we used to do on the streets in NYC. Jungle is ok, altho again, too much emphasis on bass sounds for me to put up with for long.

So essentially as I see it, hardcore is too violent, breaks and dnb too competative, and jungle too individualistic, all kinda the darker aspects of human interaction.

It's all good, but I prefer a rave where the main idea is to bond empathically with the music and each other in a more positive way, and let the darker forms be in the smaller rooms for a change of pace.

This event is being brought to you by Phoenix Management and a collaborative effort from the entire pittsburgh region. All of the proceeds will be going to a pittsburgh area school for children with disabilities. The money will be used to equip a sensory room which provides stimulation and or relaxation for children as there special needs require. Basically we're gonna fill it with raver toys. Everyone involved with this project has donated their time and skills for this great cause. So come do your part to help out and lets take this opportunity to give back a little to a society that misunderstands why we do what we do, For the love of it!
