Ok, Heres what I know.... I was at Afterlife and was having the time of my life till it got shut down. Everyone got out safely, their were some small incidents with police people shouting in the police officers faces and one guy they had to kick out for being disorderly. however Columbus Police handled it very well and were polite... from Scene and what I have gotten the police gave the promoters two options. 1. Get everyone out within 30 minutes. 2. start arresting people for drug position, and detaining for curfew violations. The promoters choose #1 witch is in everyones best interest. From unnamed sources, none of the promoters went to jail and Columbus police left about 30 minutes after everyone left. The promoters are not saying anything until they have cleared everything with their lawyers. After that they will make statements.

This is what happened, there was about 2500 and something Ravers Tripped the fuck out, Rolled the fuck out, and the police realized that we were not in our right minds, and all of us could have easily taken over the city. It would have been mayhem, so the police got scared and they made us leave, thats ok though, because me and my peoples from Detroit got TANKED THE FUCK OUT!!!

just to squash this rumor real quick: capacity was not reached, although we were close, thats not it.
read more: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ![]() To all of our loyal patrons, Dusk Till Dawn Events, GSP, & Nightbreed Productions would like to extend our sincere apologies regarding the unfortunate violation of our event and our rights by the City of Columbus Police. As most of you are already aware we went to great lengths to plan and execute our event. An event that was sanctioned by the City of Columbus, The Division of Fire and all agencies affiliated with regulating such events. Afterlife went to great expense to insure that all regulations were met. Some of our expenses included the hiring of three (3) City of Columbus fire inspectors for the entire event along with all applicable permits relating to this event. We also incurred the expense of fifteen (15) trained security professionals with the goal of providing a safe environment for our guests. Our patrons were well behaved and law abiding. In fact there were no arrests or incidents requiring any law enforcement personnel action. The event was scheduled to run till 6AM. We as the organizers of the event feel that we were victims of harassment and our rights to provide entertainment for our patrons has been violated. No reason has been provided to us as of this date as to why we were closed down at 2:30AM. We have begun the process of asking questions and seeking remedies for the City’s actions. We plan on a very special event that will show our loyal customers that we are here to stay and there will be many more events to follow. We ask that you understand the early termination of our party was at the order of the Columbus Police and we had no choice but to comply. We also ask that you understand that we will take any and all steps necessary through the legal process to ensure that this never happens again. Our events are attended by people from all over the country. We will not allow one unfortunate situation stop our business of providing a safe and fun environment for our clients. Please stay tuned for our plans for the next event and know that all who were in attendance will be shown VIP treatment. Please check back to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] & [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to keep up to date for our plans for future events. We will also keep you abreast of our ongoing communication with Columbus Police Department and the City of Columbus about the issues regarding the event of 10/22/05. ![]() |
