Afterlife Shutdown?

yeah it got shutdown around 3. fucking lame. the party was awesome before that though. dieselboy, tom sawyer and p.a.l.a.d.i.n. 5.1 all kicked ass. would have liked to hear all the music.......

Yes it did at like 2:30am. This was my first party in 3yrs., and I actually did run into some old skool ravers. I ended up going alone since my ride backed out on me---so I walked around pretty much the whole time I was there---well until I ran into some old friends. So the night wasn't too bad.

Absolutely loved the party! I was so fucking pissed to have cops raid it. It sucks we even had to have them there. They were all up in ppl's shit! I was happy I got to see dieselboy, but missed out on donald!!! Huge after party at a friend's made up for the raid. Sucks that raves like this with great lineups don't come around more often!

I thought the party was great, all things considered. Paladin was awesome, def. my favorite set of the night. I also loved Kos and Xavier's set as well.

does any one know what happend at afterlife.is there any details why it was shut down?

i really don't want to focus on it getting shut down becuase i truly think that it was a huge sucess either way, and really the reason that it got shut down was becuase it was such a big sucess. Supposedly the warehouse max capicity for like fire codes and shit was 2500 and it was well over that. So they cops shut it down.

its important for other promoters to no the reason,so as not to repeat it.if the max capacity was reached it was the responsibility of the promoters to know those limits and not to exceed them so an event is not shut down.If they knew the limit and exceeded it to the point an event is terminated everyone who did pay for the entire evening loses.it sounds like everyone had the time of their lives which is good but the fact is we have to play by certain rules or there will be no parties.they will come down on a bunch of wonderful people having the time of their lives.they did cavity searches on under age kids in michigan a few months ago,so all im saying is be careful.

i just wanted to say that even though it got shut down i have to say i had one of the best times in my life. i jus wanted to say thinks to u all in ohio please keep me up on more raves we had a blast for our 1st but i have to say it was a night to remember an it wasnt our last thank u all for a great time

I've heard a couple of different things,
i heard the capacity thing, but I don't think there were over 2500 people there, i mean it was huge but I don't think there were that many. I also heard something about curfew violations for all the youngins that were out there.

DieselBoy kicked ass, Kos and Xavier were bangin too, free shirts woo! I was angry when I was front row by the speakers watching Glaude and I see a cop walk up and grab the mic. I heard it was because the promoter didnt get the permit notorized to have an all night party, so they had to shut them down the time a bar or club would get shut down. I dont know if thats true, thats just what I heard. All in all, it was a bangin ass party, and I hope to find one like that again soon!

Someone OD'ed at afterlife and the cops had to shut it down, if that had not happened it probably would have went on without a hitch. The guy punched a cop who was trying to grab him, the cop wanted to take him to the hospital because he was ODing but the guy was fucked up and thought they were trying to arrest him.
