How's the scene during the school year?

I live in Chicago, but I go to Purdue for the school year. I'm pretty new to the whole rave scene, but Soul Asylum has peaked my interest. Anyway, I just wanna know if I'm going to be able to go to a number of raves between September and May.

And if not, I'll just keep heading back to Chicago (like for Darth Raver) every several weekends or so.

It slows downs. Really Chicago is so close that its not a problem to make my way up there every other weekend. So I never say much about it.

Btw, I attend Purdue as well. The campus is tame compared to IU, but oh well.

Yeah, I imagine that Bloomington and Indianapolis have a much better scene then West Lafayshit. I guess I'll just head up to Chicago a lot more than I did last year.

Anyway, I read something about a club called Purdue Beat Something-or-other. Apparently every week in Matthews for about 4 hours, they have some DJ's spinning some electronica. While I would love to go just to hear the music... a rave-esque event on campus kind of sounds relatively gay. Just wondering if you know anything about it.

I haven't been to one of these in a good while, so I don't even know if it's still going on. The last one I went to was ok, but by no means a rave.

Bloomington has a nice party scene, and a few raves throughout the year, and Indianapolis... don't have any. They have some good clubs though.

hey i'm new to purdue. i just came out from california's YAY AREA. based on what you guys've said, the only scene out here is in chicago?

how would i get out there?
anyone going to the next rave that's willing to take mee???

I usually goto Chicago raves via Megabus. If you book a month in advance you can get a there and back fare for under $20. Good for the wallet, as well as the ensuing sleep from hitting a rave.

I want to go so badly, but considering I get about 200 equations in math every MWF, I just don't think I'll have the time. And thats on top of Physics, Chemisty, and Chinese courses.

If things go well and I have the time to play, I will go whore myself out to pay for them tickets ().. otherwise.. to those who are going. Have Fun (I h8 u)
