I live in Fort Wayne and usually travel to Chi, MI, or OH for my parties. A few friends and I get down "low key" out here, but where is the scene? Lets kick it, Fort Wayners! Get at me and lets get down.

a clear idea about what the scene was supposed to do.

Oh, Im used to Chicago... but that damn drive. Anyways, I just thought I could get to know the other few kids that live out here, and kick it some... who knows, maybe get some things going.
Is there a reason why parties have become extinct here? I had been to some Fort Wayne parties back in the day, but now... nothing.
Anyways, here are two other Wayne cats and I know there are more of you... lets get down, home-folk... and lets start posting in here about what parties were leaving town for so we can meet up at the spot.
Lets start a crew, for we have power in numbers. Maybe yall already have, so let me know whats up so I can tribe with like mind.

I can also be reached to ask about car pooling to any events. I must warn people though that I don't tolerate drugs of any kind for personal reasons. Not saying either I agree with all the laws.

I actually want to start a group that promotes drug free parties. The scene has been beat down unfairly and the artistry and freedom it represents gets an unfair comparison to other less conformable scenes like gangsta rap.

People at raves don't fight and generally are pretty peaceable. So with a little help I think the scene could improve its rep for positive.

@Fox> Its cool, not all of us are into the drug thing. I do drink a little sometimes to loosen myself up so I can dance better (when its available), however I have to say there is real stereotype that all ravers are druggies. I know it was found out at work that I'm a BIG raver, of which I actually got hit with "random" drug tests and my bosses trying to sway me from illicit parties.

You get to hear all the horror stories people have heard of, which somehow magically become "my nephew", "my sister", etc.. Which hello! the scene wasn't even that big back in the 90s for everyone to have a personal tragic tale to tell. I have yet to goto a rave where rolling was mandatory, and I doubt I ever will.

Anyways, back on the topic.. I dunno, there is a scene near South Bend/Elkhart, but its mostly High Schoolers (which is a big no for me). I try to save up for 2 good raves a month in Chicago or elsewhere. Though I do wish we had some nice ones here. For those looking for something fun, try Therapy Nightclub in Indianapolis. Its usually rather great on friday and saturday nights.
