NP Pres... UBERZONE!! March 21st Wichita, KS
![]() Überzone is back and ready to heat things up with twelve of the most scorching new tracks... With the release of Ideology, Überzone (Q) undoubtedly proves that he has not skipped a beat in the last six years since releasing his last artist album. These past few years have seen Q in and out of the studio working on creating the incomparable masterpiece known as Ideology. His perception of production quality and arrangement is what has solidified his place as one of the leaders in the Breaks scene and why he is championed as one of the genre’s greatest producers. Since the mid-90s when Q first broke into the scene, he has been pushing forward the genre and turning the music world on its head. During this time you couldn’t walk into a club without hearing one of his über-hit singles “Botz”, “The Freaks” and “2kool4skool.” Released on the esteemed label City of Angels, these tracks made him one of the most sought after remixers, working with Sarah McLachlan and The Crystal Method, to name a few. His rising profile caught the eye of the heavy-hitting electronica label Astralwerks which promptly signed him, resulting in his breakout debut artist album Faith in the Future. This put Überzone at the top of the electronic music game, leaving many to wonder if it was possible for him to sustain the momentum and level of innovation that he had going. If anyone is still left wondering, even after a slew of mixes and performances, than his second full-length artist album Ideology will quickly squelch any of those thoughts. With this newest release, Q has created an album that is as relevant in the club as it is in the car stereo. Tracks range from the pulsating, dancefloor-packing, soon-to-be-bumping-in-every-club “Satisfaction” to the melodic, hauntingly subtle closing track “Black Hole.” Programming and creating everything from scratch, Q has seamlessly infused a part of himself into each beat on Ideology. His philosophy on the creative process behind album production is the belief that “the most engaging aspect of writing electronic music is the interaction with the gear—whether it’s a drum machine, a synthesizer or a piece of ‘found sound’ that I’m manipulating in Reaktor. The whole process is the part that I love the most. I love the creative building blocks of the music. The more you’re involved with every single facet of the music, the more your identity is going to be engrained.” With the completion of the album already accomplished, Q has no plans to slow down and is ready to go on a global tour; his love for performance being second only to production. So, this summer, if you find yourself in the US, Japan and almost anywhere in between –including the desert for the Burning Man Festival - you will have the opportunity to experience the electronic magic that many commonly refer to as an Überzone set. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- with djs: Akira B-b0y Blacklist Goldenchild Sebotage ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- America's Pub 116 N Mead St Wichita, KS 67202 21+ $5 Entrance $2.50 Jager Shots and You Call Its ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more information visit: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] |
