X it is the promoters not the times? Explain to me how the ORIGINAL STUCK ON EARTH is still throwing parties with tons of headliners. You want to discredit the scene but there are still parties poping off every weekend. LAst weekend Exit was packed out with headliners throughout the night. Next week SOE is throwing a party that should be huge. You talk mad shit but you are no longer in the streets. Maybe if you came out more you would know. But being that this is the messageboard you post on and cant seem to see that you are not correct in everything you say it is better for you to stay home while the rest of us 800 or 1000 people or so are out getting down making friends and memories. Why dont you come out to studio B in Greenpoint BK 5 minutes from the Manhattan or Williamsburg bridges and let Chris Love know that he is a hack of a promoter and all of those Boo's and other parties he threw when you were just coming up were shit. He is still throwing parties and they are still dope. You wanna talk shit get to know your facts. You talked shit on Prophet who threw a bunch of the other parties you have named in this thread and you still went on to insult him. I guess his party with like 8 headliners coming up in April is shit to. You are a dumb closed minded motherfucker. The more you talk the more I realize that you were never really a raver and always just a druggie.
You are so old skool. Were you at the Storm Rave Caffeine reunion the night before thanksgiving. It was invite only. Guess not. I guess the pioneers of our scene dont think too much of you. Buddy you are WAY TO BIG FOR YOUR BRITCHES. |

Funny as shit that you cant respond to my posts. I have proven just about everything you said as being wrong. I know your ego is to big and your pride is to thick to see that you are wrong, but I am still waiting for you to come out and talk all your shit to someone's face. Feb. 29th come out to Studio B, let Rob Rewind and SOE know that they are shit promoters. Let Feelgood and Jason Jinx know that you are more old school then them (keeping in mind these guys were intergal parts of pioneering the scene in their respective cities) and school them on what good music is and how to be a dj. You talk so much shit yet you have no clue. You post on this piece of shit site, and the majority of responses in this thread aside from myself arent even from kids in the scene. And then you go on to diss the kid swho are still throwing parties that were throwing parties that you list off as some of your favorites. You really need to either get out more or find a new board to troll.

WOW this post has been going on for ever. and YES I partly agree with x ravers post to start this thread. I was once heavy into the whole scene and then saw that there was CHANGE. Drugs are not the reason why I did go. October 2001 - I was at my last part... I am not sure of the title of it but it waqs at the Key skate arena in the Bronx.. it was insannneeee I loved the scene from 1996-2001 .. and yes I am mad that the music completely went mainstream and how we have these fake italian guys and girls running around saying they know about GOOD DANCE MUSIC I could care less about the drugs, I loved the people and the music and the life on here talking about meeting up for parties.... dont trust anyone but for some reason back then thats where the good people were at and we all had fun. Now everyone acts tough and wants to fight and bullshit like that and the only group that would fuck shit up that night was the brooklyn squad that would pay security to fuck with pepole in the party. besides that it was fun when new dance music came out underground and we, the raver crews, knew about it when all the mainstreamers were like heyyyy did u hear that new alice deejay song better off alone? lol we heard that years before people people in the main stream even knew about it... thats what was fun , the music was amazing and now the music all sounds alike and its discusting . I cant seem to find anything good because its all 103.5 KTU remix garbage ,,, i aint knocking anyone i just know ... go listen to Tranceport volume 1 from paul oakenfold... and that is when the bumpin trance was the best.... and when Omar santana and the stunned guys ripped it up with all the hardcore... MANNN .....THOSE WERE THE DAYS
seeing spacegirl and scott henry and kimball collins and sandra collins and everyone perform... going to boo 6 and having it rain but the night time was amazing... wow |

Its clear that anyone who went to raves 10 years ago or so know the scene is fucking dead now. If you go through these 50+ pages you get a person who used to goto raves and admits that the shit now sucks and is an imbarrasment. The Hook is a fucking after hour spot and so is Exit in BK. Its not a place for the whole party. And yeah man, these fucking lineups what a joke. There used to be so many fucking good people when there was 2 rooms you would have to run back and fourth so you wouldnt miss anything cause you couldnt fit all the talent in one room. Now theres like 1 dj per "Dance party" its all the dumb promoters now. Dont blame 9/11 dont blame Guilani (rather him than Hilary and fucking day). Its the promoters not spending $$ or knowing what a rave is. How do they not know I can not explain go talk to your big brothers or listen to the people in this thread who know about raves. This yalepeck fag defends what goes on today instead of seeing the problem and doing anything about it. This is the problem and its good to see another person who knows what ravers and raves are.

YEs I am a fag. But at least my girlfriend was out of high school at the same time as me and not still in junior high. I was at most of the parties listed in this thread. I am not saying that as many people come out or the venues are as nice but the talent is still there. But again you wouldnt know. Your knowledge of the scene as it is today is based on this board. Almost no one posts parties here for the NYC area. ANd all the 2000+ parties I have named must have been shit.
X you need to get a reality check and realize that you are wrong about much of what you say. But I guess it is hard to see with you head so far up your ass, or maybe it is the fact that you were a druggie and not a raver. The words are not interchangable. YOu cant even refute points I have made. YOu suck at teh internetz. |

Bottom Line? I am going to ask you to suggest a NYC event for what will be my FIRST rave - ever. You seem to really know and appreciate the best NYC has to offer. I feel that SAFE and sacred drugs DO have a place at communal events. But old man that I am? If it doesn't fit on a blotter - I would be afraid to trust it. I was hoping to find a loving, transcendent event. You know? Something more spiritual than decadent? Your guidance is most valued. Please feel free to PM me? Peace, Tom |

Yeh I havent chilled with the crews i used to roll with back then but when i talk to people about past parties from time to time, and they were on OUR level lol.. they knew what i was talking about and yes kids defend current parties like they are the best they ever went to... but then i laugh .. it bugs me out when kids now a days think that 2007-08 parties are insane... i dont rag on them cuzz they wont ever understand the old days i mean im 24 but ive been in the scene forever .. i havent really been involved since 2001 i just came across this post on the site... and had to put my 2 cents... all i know is that if i had to choose present or past... lets just say go on the videos sectiion .. watch some old videos from 1998-1999 rave parties... and u tell me if u can find a venue or party trhat big bumpin better music then that... the scene 10 years ago was so much better because that was at the peak of how creative people can be.... parties now people are just trying to immitate the past... and it doesnt seem to be working... i am not against the new party kid... only because they dont understand how much parties in the past created such a positive outlook on how big a scene can get. within each year that passes younger and younger kids try to involve them self.... which is bad because they are cockier and cockier believing they can hang with older groups and then when they get hurt or get sick from a pill they thought was something that would make him or her look cooler... i wasnt much for the drugs... yeh i had my time with it but it wasnt the reason for partying... if you cant post up old school party scene videos

got to newraveorder.com. You will find videos. I dont think anyone is trying to say parties are as good. But we are trying to say that there are still some that pop off. And the rest of you talking about being so old skool understand that almost none if any of you were at nasa, were at storm raves, were at the limelight in its heyday. Parties were different after 94 then again after 2000. It happens but they still go on and the talent still comes. Quit your hating and get in the streets and find out what is going on.
