when we threw bootybar parties, there was never more then 500 people, virtually nobody was rolling yet it was off the hook. ask anyone who ever went, we even had the location for free since the club owner had so much fun.
Rave isn't justified by a quantity or people, size of venue, drugs, age of attendees, style of dress, drinks or certain dj's, it's a place in your mind that you elevate to. |

X you think you know all but you know nothing. The first raves thrown in the US were like 15 to 20 kids and a strobe light. I have been overseas to parties as well. People are not friendly like in the US. Yeah the music is awesome but those same djs come to the states. The weed thing is great you got me there, but there are places in the city where you dont even get searched. But again its not about the drugs its about the music. Look at the rave beginnings of the Loft and Paradise garage. It is about all sorts of people coming together for a good time no matter of age, race, religion or sexual preferance. It is people like you with you narrow view of what a rave "really" is that killed the scene. Again you dont come out so you would have no clue what a party is these days. Sorry if it doesnt live up to your standards, but at least we still have a place to go meet up with a huge group of friends and dance to some of the worlds top DJ's. So way to shoot your mouth off for the thousandth time.

X you are one dumb shit. BTS never fucked with me. Maybe cause my boys were a part of or associates there of. Robbed that is funny. I bet you think they also still exist. Its funny that I have given examples time and again of places I have traveled to rave and at the off chance my experience doesnt live up to your perception it is automatically wrong. Then you go on to hurl personal insults. Now keeping that in mind, you are a narrowminded, tunneled vision person. It is people like you who spawn hate and killed the scene, the vibe, and put a huge dent in humanity as a general rule. What's next you are going to tell me that us Jews have horns and we are all money/power hungry people.
Ass hole, just because someone's experience is remembered more clearly because they didnt smoke dust and do K all night at the rave they went to doesnt mean that you are wrong, but you should open up your ears and find out facts on people before you go calling them names. You gonna sit here next and tell me that cats like Odi, DB, and your beloved Lenny Dee are not old skool. Then are you gonna tell me that the Loft and Paradise Garage did not plant the seed that started the essence of rave. You are a dumb fuck. Take a history lesson, get off your high horse and realize that you meant and mean nothing to our community and in fact is people like you who sat in the corner doing drugs, complaining about the state of rave, and try to contradict everything that is said right or wrong by anyone who is not you. You should really listen to other people, especially when they were doing this before you, put on the parties you are still here talking about, and will be here after you have decided that you are as big of an ass as everyone one here thinks. Thanks for the consistent entertainment. |

How the fuck does a troll thread get this big? You people are all newbies of the interwebs, also good job OP for trolling so many people.
Also, the rave scene was always fucking lame. If you want to hear good music, spend a little bit more money and goto clubs in Manhattan. I've yet to hear a headliner train wreck at a club, I used to hear that shit all the time at raves. Its a buncha fruits dressed up like Japanesse pedophiles eating large quantities of drugs they usually neither know anything about, nor know anything of the source. I used to be a part of it, so I really cant talk too much shit, but its really something for teenagers. Once you hit 18 you should have better shit to do. The rave scene is dead in NYC anyway though, so it really doesn't matter either way. Also, BTS were the biggest bunch of homos I've ever seen. They robbed the week, and if they tried any of that shit to people that weren't little kids, they would get beaten with baseball bats and/or shot. Last edited by twigburst; 10.9.2007 at 10:28 pm.. Clubs in NYC are a bunch of uptight, anal rententive, "techno" loving, guido, ghb dosing, date raping, coke head, juice head fuck wads from Staten and Long Island. Everyone wants to be a Gotti. I guess you havent been around that long if you have never heard JP trainwrecking at Sound Factory (now pacha) or your boy Boris at Crobar, or Keoki wherever and whenever he spins. And you wanna talk about Japanese pedophiles, if you have ever been to a club in NYC then I dont have to say anymore than old asian men very young drugged out of their mind Asian women. Who the fuck wants to wear dress shoes to dance.
And as for BTS that was their MO, but more often than not they outnumbered whoever they were going after. And who got shot. Tell me of one rave where someone was actually shot or beaten with an actual baseball bat. You seem to want to talk like you know but it really doesnt seem like you do either that or you dont know the difference between good mixing and a train wreck. |

Who said anything about Jonathon Peters, personally I don't consider him a headliner. He opens quite often at events I goto, but he isn't that good. I would rather listen to my parents having anal sex in the other room for 2 hours than listen to one of his full sets.

My post went to whoever was talking about clubs being the best places to go and the best dj's yadda yadda. JP first of all is one of the biggest American Headliners right now. He will sell out whatever venue he is playing in whatever part of the country. He sux. The only time he was ever fun was the VIP area of Factory but then again you couldve put on polka and it wouldve sounded good at that point. Clubs are weak these days unless you are going to after hours or someone as old skool as lets say Little louie vega is spinning.
