What about storm raves or Nasa? Those parties were the start to the NYC rave scene, so don't say that 1995-2000 were the wonder years. It is all relevant to the times you had. If you don't believe me click on my myspace link, and in my groups there is a group called "Nasa Ravers", and these are all people who spawned the NYC rave scene. You might not believe it because half of them now use walkers, but it's true... |

so ne ways...... HAVE YOU HEARD THE MUSIC??????? the scene is alittle gay in the sense that not everyone is on the same page, but come on now if you have the audacity to rain on our parade you have no right to call yourself a raver, ex- raver or not!

happy hardcore is mad gay....and i just can't take that music plus the candy ravers seriously...i dunno mayb as you get older you just start craving a more mature crowd....mayb thats why ive been leaning more towards clubbing rather than raving....plus alotta my fav Djs wont play raves unless their like massive (Sven Vath, Chris Liebing, Felix tha Housecat)...anybody else feel the same way?

You are telling me to move out of the best city in the worlds (becides the new gay raves) just because all the new people ruined raves does not mean I have to move. I could vacation in Cali and goto a party once and a while. NYC has been dead for so long now that I am used to it by now. I know what to expect when I do attempt to goto a so called NYC "rave" (basement no light boring club). So thanks for the advice but I will stay here and just not goto parties. Mabey one day someone will spring the $$ for a real party.

X-raver, you just need to come to Philly where we really throw down, NYC has and always will be a weak representation of Philadelphia. Check out Urban DK at God's Basement if ure lookin for a good time. Any Local 13 party, (Whistle, Bang), is worth checkin out.

Dude, you obviously werent around for the storm rave, nasa, or any of the outlaw parties in NYC during the early 90's. They paved the way for raves in the USA. If NYC didn't do it, it wouldn't have been done. Know what you are talking about before you diss a city that everyone on here owes some credit to.... |

X raver- You wanna re-live the beginning of the rave scene? Move to South America, rave scene just began there about 4 yrs ago...its still in its infancy is most S American Country's and i know for a fact in Colombia they have massives every month and Illegal raves every weekend, (Imagine shutting off and entire neighboorhood to have a rave/block party in the middle of the day, imagine a Country so behind in its scene that no even herd Drum and Bass yet....yes...in S America they're still in the House/Techno/Trance phase like we were around the yr 1991 (give or take)....Its great, everything feels fresh, new and exciting again down there!
