People like me. You mean 95% of people who know what things used to be like, yes there is 5% of people who did used to goto raves and still go and think everything is great. But now that I am 25 I quit drugs (weed is not a drug) and it is so obvious how dumb it is now. It is not just me who thinks this way its New York City who thinks this way. Everyone I talk to says what I am saying. Then there is all you newbies who argue with me thinking I am a retard and I think I am the only one in NYC but the truth is everyone thinks its all the new kids faults. Not mine I never used to bitch everything was fine until the prices went up like crazy and drove off all the ravers who used to pay 20$ to get into the Roseland not 35$ for some dumb skate park in the Bronx that doesnt even have drinks (the KEY).

I dont drink that much I do get laid whenever I like ( My girfriend lives with me) so try something else. People like you are the gay ravers I am talking about. Instead of trying to prove your point. Will you PLEASE just stop already! Things change---get over it! Move on with your life and stop bitchin about how the scene is now. It's not going to be the same as back in the day---just how you're not the same as you were back in the day. Like you said--you're older now and realize how stupid it is now. I used to go to a lot of parties in NYC..especially at All of the Brass Monkey parties ..Boo And parties at the Octagon were freakin sick!!! There used to be a lot under the brooklyn bridge that were filled with good vibes and a ton of good people. I started the scene in the late 90's in SF. I think it might've even started there. We used to get in for $15 and if you bring a can of soup you get $5 off. The people that started this scene started off wearing bright colors and blowing whistles ...all that jazz. You know"candy ravers" The people that you claim are "ruining" the scene are those same kids and have the same mentality as the ones that started it.
From my own experiences...the people that are ruining it are groups like "BTS". They walked around in big groups and jacked people for whatever drugs they had then sold them for their own profit. That's a bad attitude when trying to gain any type of unity. Now what kind of people do you want running this scene? nobody asks you to dress like everyone else.

BTS was a bad ass group of kids. Yes they did rip people off and steal things. But this is NYC so dont be invovled with them. My crew knew who they were and they were all real cool kids as long as you never flashed money. They would be the best people money comes out, money taken. But I say this is good because it made these homo kids stop comming out and scared to goto parties. Now most of the BTS are in jail or dead. The remaining few just try to make a buck and mind their own. I thing a new BTS should start agina and take all these newbies money. i would if i could trust me. But its to much a hassel. So they were like a underround security to keep homos out and away now they are gone and retards run raves rampidly. Is there a corrolation here?

In June 2001, the group was supposedly dissolved by federal authorities. The gang, which called itself the Brooklyn Terror Squad, or BTS, 'terrorized rave parties throughout the Eastern seaboard and in Florida,' says Linda Lacewell, an assistant U.S. attorney in New York. The gang beat up and robbed ravers, stole their drugs and then resold them at the same parties, she says. Ten gang members have pleaded guilty to various drug charges and are awaiting sentencing."

By June, an illegal party under the George Washington Bridge had ended with the stabbing of a partygoer by a suspected BTS member.
