went to Techno in Brooklyn 5-05

Had a good time. Got there around 2am, and it was kinda like an art house vibe. People sort of self-conscious, nobody really dancing but shuffling, staring blankly up at the dj, looking for some kind of a sign....oh wait, that was probably just me. ha. Then those german dueds came out, and people (including my tired ass) lightened up. Those guys weren't half bad. They mixed it up well, from breaks to techno. At first, my "white boyness" was shining through too brightly. My dancing was like a a whole can of corn kernels. My skills were rusty. I felt like a herb and the music wasn't getting through to me. but then they got a little deeper with the techno, and played some of there european hits and it was like riding a bike. Some of the tunes were kind of gay, but thats how they do in europe. I missed Lenny D, and i heard he let it rip. My white boy dancing left at 3a, The crowd thinned at 4:30, and Overall, it made me want to cop there cd. Good job w. the promotions, (you got me and the crew to go). One.

I went to techno in brooklyn 5-05, i got there @ 1115 or and i thought it was bomb, the crowd was hip the music and sound was killer. I did my thing till i left about 430 500 the whole time i was like theres no promoters for other parties and i liked that, when i got outside at the end there was guess what a promoter! whatever the beats were ill i thought and i got my fun in. plus i had a few laughs with some friends.

Lenny Dee destroyed the mother-fucking place. Best techno set ever. The man keeps getting better and better everytime I hear him spin techno. If you missed his set, I feel sorry for ya because you missed out on one of the best techno sets ever. Lexy and K-paul were good too, but after hearding Lenny Dee's insane set they seem like your local Go-Go bar djs. LOL. Mad respect to Lenny Dee.

That describes it perfectly! I was there till the end when Lexy stopped playing around 5AM, and it was quite fun. I went there mainly to see Lenny Dee, but Lexy and K-Paul's live act was hip too and remembered me to some nice parties I had over in Germany.

But what was going on with the floor in the back room? I thought the plan was that they spin some hardcore over there? But no people hanging around and just breaks and happy/mellow stuff.

That describes it perfectly! I was there till the end when Lexy stopped playing around 5AM, and it was quite fun. I went there mainly to see Lenny Dee, but Lexy and K-Paul's live act was hip too and remembered me to some nice parties I had over in Germany.

Yea, i bet. The freakin guy is ONLY JUST a legend. ha. Kinda pissed i missed out (on lenny d) but the other two dueds weren't bad, even though my man derrick g pointed out one of them was rocking keds. haha. And the backroom was....well...the backroom. ha. i walked back there and fleeced the scene with the quickness. It reminded me of the end of a middle school dance; all the "cool" kids have gone to smoke "one" cigarette and the left overs are waiting for there mom's to pick them up. ha. A good time though.

just going on word on the streets. I assume you are kidding about the informant thing. I have been down in this a while. Love it hate cops shutting shit down and apparently that is how it went down that night.

Wrong party. i left at like 5am, and no jakes were there. It was pretty legit. I wouldn't have said i had a good time if i saw the boys in blue. [/i]

That was the party at Galapagos, right? I was a little hesistant at the German DJ's because I (wrongly, it seems) assumed it'd be
mostly minimal, which I wasn't in the mood for.
Now I'm sorry I slept through it...

Ended up staying up the night before and going to the Pot March in Tompkins Square. Needless to say, I passed the fuck out for the night, once I got home.

yea, it was pretty good. good vibe, and good beats. if you like "un-minimal" then you better be at the sullivan room this thursday. Dieselboy, ak, and dara. Its going to be very heavy. ha.

we're mixing up different styles all the time´
so there is something for everyone and of course we only fly in REAL TOP STARS from germany (which lexy & k-paul are)
lenny dee did a fantastic set (will actually make it available to download on [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] soon) and again lexy & k-paul where fantastic

btw, we are having lenny dee back for our next show at club-exit (so if you missed him that night.....)
