DIRECT DRIVE and SULLIVAN ROOM present:

GOLDIE
(Metalheadz UK)

Goldie had his first taste for the limelight when he was involved in the groundbreaking documentary Bombin' in 1985 by Gus Corrall and Dick Fontaine this let Goldie show his talent as graffiti artists and form friendships with T-Kid and many more well respected artists.

It was his move to London and a visit to Rage Club in 1991 that things change for the graffiti artist and the music genesis was born. DJ Fabio and Grooverider were playing, Goldie had a taste of Jungle and wanted more which gave him the drive and lust to make the smash and incredible and haunting dark tune Terminator.

It was around this time that Goldie launched the infamous Sunday sessions at the Blue Note which saw people come from all around the world to dance all night to Goldie sets and other DJs, The night was such a massive hit that many famous faces could be seen down there such as David Bowie, Val Kilmer, Josh Evans leading to endorsements with DC Shoes and Tequila Gold, Gold party with the likes Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas there. Playing at the Viper Rooms for Johnny Depp. With Goldie commercial crossover he was then able to support acts such as James Addiction and Bjork and many more.

While Goldie was seeing the birth and growth of the now infamous Drum and Bass label Metalheadz which is still the strongest and most well know label worldwide he found the time to create an album which to this day is what it is titled Timeless, This saw Goldie go on to sell more then 250,000 copies and it is today the album that everyone still talks about.

Many of the public don't know any of the 'Goldie' above but have learned about him from his many TV appearances on shows such as Shooting Stars, The Jo Whiley Show, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks. More recently he took part in 'Stars in Fast Cars' which saw Goldie beat other celebs to win the wacky show.
Goldies first film role was in David Bowies gritty northern gangland flick Everybody Loves The Sunshine. This led into a part in Guy Ritchie's classic Snatch . Goldie appear in The World Is Not Enough, Over these three films Goldie worked alongside such actors as Brad Pitt, Robert Carlyle, Robbie Coltrane, Denise Richards and Vinnie Jones. He also played Angel in Eastenders and became a favourite with many of the (Eastenders) fans

As well as being in the public eye for TV and film Goldie DJs every weekend abroad with it being in Europe, America, Australia South East Asia , South America, The United States, Korea & Japan to name but a few.

MIXMASTER DOC
(31 Records | Horizons Music | Sidechain Music | Driven AM)

Popping on to the international Drum and Bass scene seemingly over night, Mixmaster Doc has gained the support from a whose who list of the industries leading Djs including Fabio, Flight, Bailey, Doc Scott, LTJ Bukem, and Goldie just to name but a few. With releases already forthcoming on 31 Records, Horizons, and Sidechain music, and with collaborations in the works with some of drum and bass's brightest stars Mixmaster Doc is one to watch for in 2007!

SABURUKO
(Horizons Music | Future Thinkin | Integral | Cyber Groove)

One duo that is slowly but surely making their mark on the DnB scene worldwide is known as "Saburuko". Representing Brooklyn, NY, by way of the UK, Russell Knight and Edward Parker are currently signed exclusively to the Horizons Music Group. Having spent their formative years back in their respective homes of Scotland and Wales they take over 2 decades of DJ and production experience to critical acclaim the world over. To date they continue to go from strength to strength receiving multiple airplays on both the major radio stations and a host of internet shows. So far support has come from A-Listers such as Fabio & Grooverider, Doc Scott, DJ Lee, Marcus Intalex, LTJ Bukem, Nookie, DJ Flight, Digital, Amit, D- Bridge, Marky, Artificial Intelligence, Influx UK, Bryan Gee, JJ Frost and Outrage so it's no wonder these guys are being tipped for huge things in 2007 and beyond. With a rich and diverse musical background that is clearly evident in their productions it is claimed the ear they have for melody, mood and atmosphere is not seen in one set group. Evidence of this can be heard in their lead off release on Horizons, the Boro Park EP, featuring 4 tracks ranging in styles it is a perfect primer to the sound that is Saburuko: multi-faceted, deep, emotional and real. Hot on the back of their hugely acclaimed first release are promoters requesting their talents in Europe and across the USA culminating in numerous DJ performances at the 2007 Miami Winter Music Conference. On the production tip, Saburuko have also been remixing and collaborating with such names as Insight, Bachelors of Science, Sabre, Hobzee, Soulmatic, Stunna and Amaning to name but a few. This will see releases on Horizons, Crisis and Progress Ltd. 2007 will also see the Horizons "Exclusive" artists release tracks on Future Thinkin and Integral.

DJ SEOUL
(Direct Drive)

A major force in the Stateside Drum and Bass scene, New York City-based DJ Seoul made his debut behind the decks back in 1993. After several years of DJing and party promotions at underground scene nationwide, sensing the need for a weekend Drum and Bass night, Seoul began a weekly Saturday night event called Direct Drive in 1998. Direct Drive has received international acclaim as the party which consistently hosts the finest in US and UK talent and Seoul is now widely recognized as one of the top Drum and Bass promoters and DJs on the East Coast. Expanding on the success of the Direct Drive party, Seoul formed an event production and promotion company with the same name. Currently, Seoul is focusing his energy on producing tracks in his recording studio as well as overseeing the launch of a record label.

vs.

ESHIN
(Direct Drive | Destroyer.net | Team Ewok)

DJ Eshin first began DJing in 2000 as he began taking hip-hop tunes from his bedroom to house parties in the NYC area. Although he first delved into electronic music in 1996, Eshin did not start experimenting with DnB in his DJ sets until 2002 and hasnt looked back since then. Eshin made a big splash in 2004 by launching the eclectic Wednesday night weekly No Jacket Required in NYC with DJ/promoting partner Doctor Faustus. While the weekly finished its run a year after its launch, No Jacket Required continued as a NYC monthly event, bringing in prominent DnB talent from around the world, as well as NYC's finest. Eshin is currently collaborating with both Direct Drive, which has been a staple in the NYC dance scene for the past 9 years, and DB's monthly soulful DnB event The Secret Night of Science. He also hosts the Thursday night DnB radio show, Outside the Cube, which has been running on Destroyer.net Radio for over a year. Spanning from melodic and dubby sounds to tech-step and jump-up, Eshin showcases the ability to explore multiple styles in his sets. Eshin has played alongside international talent including Goldie, Total Science, Marcus Intalex, Pendulum, Sub Focus, Klute, London Elektricity, Juju, Logistics, and Digital, among others. As a member of both electronic music collective Bassbot and Team Ewok, Eshin continues to spread his diverse sound in the American DnB circuit and worldwide.
