Raves or club events?
I'm not familiar with the scene here and I haven't been out to any raves in quite some time so I'm kind of wondering about how many of the events posted on this site are actually raves as opposed to just club events. I keep looking at the posts and then checking out the sites for the locations and the posts sound like raves while the clubs just look like normal dance clubs, so it's kinda confusing. I'm just looking for someone to point me in the right direction before I start paying to get into places that I immediately want to leave until I find some actual raves. Hopefully you guys know what I mean, just the vibe to a rave was always completely different to me so that's what I'm looking for.

some are at clubs, while other parties are at more "underground" venues.
time for the shameless plug: check out Pumpkin Pie on Oct. 28. it's at a huge loft space in Manhattan (it is not a club).
