New Years Rave 2008??

Does anyone know of a [[decent]] rave going on New Years Eve this year? I'm going to be visiting along with a bunch of raver friends from Los Angeles, California. And I'd like to be able to soak in a little of the NY rave scene while I'm at it.

OH AND PREFERABLY A MASSIVE.

Massives like what you have in Cali have never and will never exist in the east. However there will be a party that night however no info has been released yet. It is not to say that much of the talent you would see at a Cali party wont be performing. There will be no Carl Cox, Sasha/digweed, PVD, Oakenfold, Hype, JJFROST, but there will be someone.

Crazy im in the same boat. My girls from NYC and were going there for New Years. Gonna do the Time Square thing up until midnight and then search for a party. Any news on one id be interested as well. I have heard alot about Club Exit......but have also heard it doesn't exist anymore?

I know I was there last year and the year before. It wasn't bad at alllll last year. We just stayed along the top half of time square away from the madness, yet close enough to have fun.

Time Square is a way better idea then any of these fag raves that will be planned. Look I got an idea for all you looking for a party. Just scroll down on the New York list where this thread is and goto your "Dance Party" and you should be fine. Cause that what raves could now be called here is a Dj dance party USA all night long bitch. Trust me goto Time Square it beats the Hook on a wednesday night with no money.Dance Party USA Bitches!!

First of all X ass hole NYE is on a Monday night. Secondly Konkrete jungle will be having a special event for this I am sure. If you wanna talk shit about that then you will be talking shit on something that was started before you were here has expanded to all parts of the world and will be here after you have completed smoking yourself stupid. As well it never was nor claimed to be a rave. But you should know the difference between a jungle weekly and a rave. But then again you told Direct drive they should throw a real party. 10 years of throwing JUNGLE WEEKLIES and you think they are going to start throwing raves now.

Now for those of you who can ignore this ass hole who says that he was once a raver and is now a jaded slow man there will be a few things going on but will not be on the same scale as Cali. All of the clubs will have the likes of djs in the realm of PVD Carl Cox type shit. The raves will have the more underground sounds. Times square is bland. You stand there amongst a literally a million people, no bathrooms, and watch a ball drop. I guess it is a tourist experience. I dont think I know a single New Yorker who has ever been.

club exit is still around. just went to collaborate there. good party & free too. theyre throwing candyball at club exit... which has been said to have been the best rave in ny in quite sometime...


off the subject. these boards blow. you get super assholes [xraver for example] who just come on to bitch. if your looking to meet some awesome ravers, who are geniunely in the scene for love of music & good people, join the Ravers Only board. garunteed to blow these boards outta the water. its respectful & all about the plur....

& if your gonna hate on the scene & the new kids [specfically to xraver], then get the hell out! we're the ones who r gonna keep it alive & keep it going. so burnout, take your jaded ways somewhere else. go rot in your moms basement. we'll be out partying.

Exit and Club Exit are two diffrent clubs. Exit USED to be in manhattan, but now its closed. Club Exit is in Brooklyn and thats still open. Understandably this confuses alot of people.
