This member is the original thread starter. happy hardcore new to ny

hi everyone! i'm new to ny...not new to raves...

although its been a while since i've gone to any. i used to party 3-4 times a week from '98-'03! i got burnt out and tried to focus on school/work.

anyway, back in '99 i came to visit ny and went to a rave at the roseland ballroom. it was off the hook! now i just moved here from la...and would like to check out the rave scene here (is there still one? is it anything like it used to be???) but not sure where to find flyers, etc? do you guys have massives here? jungle parties? i've been to some jungle weeklies at clubs in manhattan but what about down and dirty warehouse parties? what about soulful house or trance?

help a sistah out!

Wow what a funny post. The Roseland is dead and raves are here (see you all ruined raves thread). I mentioned the Roseland many times. the parties were banging you are totally right. You are about 4-6 years late here bro. Noting like the roseland ever went on since brass monkey 2000 was the last. I am sorry you are into raves you live in the wrong state. It sounds like you were like me. Now if you are in school you will have no problems because big events do not happen anymore. Sorry, be glad at least you saw a real party in NYC. Half the people on here will argue my points because they never saw anything like we did. Good luck in NY it is the best state becides raves many things to do.

check out clubs Crobar, Pacha, and Spirit - Headliners everyweekend Guestlist discounts.. Also Avalon (old Limelight) Holds events every now and then, couple Months ago they had a huge drum and bass party.
"WHistle" in Philly is the next massive, Philly is only 2 1/2 hours away and Whistle is def worth the ride, besdies that,
check this board every weekend for party info as well as the Calendar listings, and dont pay atension to X raver, he tends to be quite negative

I don;t know a ton about NY raves, but i do know of some in MA, CT, RI and one particular kickin; one this summer in Maine. If you are willing to drive, i'll let you know about the events that might be worthwhile.

Default Avalon

I was talking with some real ravers in the park the other day and they were telling me about the new changes to this club. It sounds horrible I have not been but I was at limelight a few times. I heard it is all lit up now. All bright and some fag pink halls? This what I was told by real people rember I have not seen this is a question. Is this true if so it sounds like another old school good rave spot gone gay. And anyone who calls someone a dolt must be a fag. What fag says dolt? Go fuck yourself and once you learn about real raves then come talk to me you stupid DOLT!!! fag.
