Audio Tactics Recordings and the Sullivan Room are proud to present international recording artists J-BREAK (Cyberian Knights, Distorted, Afterdark Records, Warped - Florida), WAVEWHORE (Broke, Electrofly, BreaksFM, BombTraxx - NYC) and WES SMITH (Juice Recordings – NYC) on Thursday, July 26, 2007. Sonic support will be provided by MORGAN STONER (Funky Communications, Wonder Breaks - NYC) and THE BEAT BREAKER (Six Foot Four Productions, Imperial Entertainment – NY). This special event will be the next edition in a series of premier breakbeat shows at the newly renovated Sullivan Room!

J-Break has been rocking the decks all across North America and Europe playing his signature style of bangin breaks, electro and drum & bass. After his debut mix cd, “Bio:Mechanik” on Subculture Records, Jackal & J-Break founded the electro label Cyberian Knights Recordings to release “This is the Sound of Underground”. Recently, J-Break joined forces with Warped Recordz’s Agent K to form Digital Records, the newest label addition to the Millennium Breaks family. J-Break is currently on tour in support of their new mix CD compilation, “Live from Istanbul: Global Sessions Vol. 2”, mixed and compiled by himself and Agent K. J-Break has become one of the first American breaks acts to tour worldwide with several tours of Spain, Holland, UK, Canada, Turkey, New Zealand, and Australia.

J-Break has been ranked as one of the top DJs in breaks and electro and has done numerous studio collaborations with international renowned artists The Autobots, Deekline, MC J-Messinian (Planet of the Drums), Screwface, DJ Assault, Infiniti, Fixx, & Reid Speed, to name a few. J-Break has had tracks featured on Annie Nightingale’s BBC Radio 1 show, XM & Sirius satellite radio, as well as shows for MTV. Whether he’s on the road, rocking monster festivals like Ultra and Love Parade from Barcelona to Los Angeles or on tour with Wutam, Agent K, or Josef Plante, J-Break has proven that he really is a weekend warrior! WAVEWHORE
Broke Recordings - BreaksFM - Electrofly Records - BombTraxx – Nexus Artists - NYC

With releases on high profile record labels such as Broke, BreaksFM, Electrofly and BombTraxx, New York City based Wavewhore is quickly building a reputation as one to watch in the global breakbeat community. His skills behind the decks have also led to headlining appearances across the US and in Europe and he has appeared as a guest on Annie Nightingale’s show on BBC Radio 1 London, Jay Cunning’s Breakbeat Sessions on KISS FM London and Liquid Todd’s radio show on WKTU 103.5 FM New York. In addition, Wavewhore is a resident at the Sullivan Room, one of New York City’s premier underground venues, and he regularly hosts ‘The Audio Tactics Sessions’ on the Breakspoll award-winning BreaksFM internet station ([Only registered and activated users can see links. ]).

Wavewhore began his career as a heavy metal guitarist performing in clubs while he was still in high school and his first electronic release dates back to 1992. In 2007, Wavewhore was nominated for the Breakthrough Producer category at the annual Breakspoll Awards in London and his cutting edge music has received high level support from many of the top names in the business including Aquasky, General Midi, DJ Icey, The Autobots, The Freestylers, Elite Force, Drumattic Twins and many more. As a musician, he stands apart in his ability to produce a wide variety of styles within the breaks genre with quality results. His diversity in production also carries into his DJ sets which blend many styles of breaks from funk to bassline to tech into powerful and effective mixes that whip the dance floor into a frenzy.

Wavewhore’s name is derived from his addiction to manipulating audio waveforms and from all appearances he promises to be an inspiring force in electronic dance music. Juice Recordings - NYC

Wes Smith is the Cosmically Funky Frontman, DJ and Remixer behind Juice Recordings and the now defunct Juiced NYC event in the East Village. He has played at Ministry of Sound UK with the Eden Collective, made countless trips to the decks at Scott Henry's BUZZ/Cubik DC and spun the wheels of steel in Southern India at Pasha several times.
