But ss was THE real. His shit was off the meters....it fuckin broke the meters. He played some poppy vocal shit that i usually can't stand but he blew the place up even wit that glittery shit. Some schmo tried to get on the mic and throw down some fraudulent gay rap in the beginning but after 2 min., ss was like, "yo bitch, is your name ss....so step the fuck off ya limey cunt". ha. schooed him off like a groupie. I don't give a fuck if your the fucking promoter or u forked up the dough, whatever, if your a virgin mc, don't step up to the plate just to have something to write home about. People paid money to see ss, not be stressed by your horrible gay shit. wack ass mc's. ha. the first guy was pretty good, but he didn't fuck wit ss. That mother fucker even broke out some rave shit toward the end but i was so tired that i couldn't care less. I wish more people would of showed up to support the night and make it easier for those guys to come back next time, but still, ss is by far one of the best db djs around, bare witness bitch. one.

NYC has always been notoriously weak in the MC department. The only one with real credibility and talent imho is TC Islam, son of bambata, aka the funky alien.

Now that's just my opinion, take it as you will, it's not fact. I think the British talent in the MC dept is superior from Skiba, Shaba, Foxy, Eksman, Ragga Twins, IC3, FatmanD, etc....

It's all about who you personally like, and one of the f'd up things about the USA scene is this nonsensical banter about who's got more skills, mixes better, etc. Doesn't exist in any other country that has a historical "dance culture" Its like a Mampi Swift set, he's not technically the best dj out there but his layering and selection are tops. I've heard SS trainwreck too, actually here in NYC at the Bank, aka Mint on houston @ Avenue A. Great show with SS, Dj Rap, Dj Ratty and Dara opened... Back when jump up was huge and the DnB scene was massive in nyc. Koncrete was packed every week, so was pyramid.
